BOSTON—The Northeastern track and field teams posted strong performances from coast-to-coast as the Huskies split their squad and competed at three meets this past weekend.

On the west coast, Danielle Klein and Zachary Krause represented Northeastern at the San Francisco State University Distance Carnival, while Wesley Gallagher, Stephen Sollowin, Max Milder and Lucy Young made appearances at the Stanford Invitational.

Gallagher, the reigning CAA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year, and Sollowin posted IC4A qualifying marks in the 5,000-meter run and now rank third and forth, respectively, on NU's all-time performance list in the event.

At New Hampshire, the NU women competed against familiar foes Maine and Holy Cross. Behind seven first-place finishes, the women's squad claimed second as a team with 182 points as host UNH snagged first with 259.50 points.

Camille Gooden kicked off the day and led four Huskies in the 100-meter dash with a silver finish at 12.23. Victoria Alexander clocked in third, while Chelsea Hudson and Ashlee Pitts crossed fifth and sixth, respectively. Collectively, the quartet logged 20 points for the team in the event.

Kate Johnstone claimed the individual title in the 1,500-meter run with a mark of 4:40.65 to rank eighth on NU's all-time performance list and add nine points to the overall score.

The Huskies swept the hurdles as Nicole Genard and Hudson earned the gold in the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles, respectively. Genard logged a personal-best time of 14.52, while Hudson clocked in at 1:05.59, both earning their way to the New England Championships.

Anchored by Gooden, the women's 4x400-meter relay collected nine points after a first-place finish at 4:06.26.

Led by Genard, six Huskies competed in the long jump as Northeastern claimed the top three spots. Genard and Jessica Dunnigan recorded New England Qualifying marks at 5.63 meters and 5.37 meters, respectively, while Allyson Crooke took third with a jump of 5.19 meters.

Georgia Pingue covered 11.54 meters in the triple jump for a ticket to New Englands, while Alexandra Rose rounded out the individual titles in the field with a 11.92-meter throw in the shot put.

The Northeastern men also collected seven individual titles at New Hampshire for a third-place team finish. The squad tallied 163 points, dropping short of New Hampshire (172 points), and Maine (277 points).

Alex Shapiro registered nine points after earning the gold in the 400-meter dash, clocking in at 50.58. Josh Norris added six points with a third-place finish (51.33) in the same event.

Reigning CAA Athlete of the Week Paul Duffey led the 1,500-meter run with a mark of 3:55.41, while classmate Patrick Cunningham crossed sixth (4:11.01) for three points.

Jackson MacDonald and Connor McCarthy added points for the Huskies in the 110-meter hurdles before Rookie Anthony Pavlich ran away with the crown in the 400-meter hurdles.

Craig Hammond made his debut in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and led the way with a time of 10:05.07.

The men's 4x100-meter relay, made up of Kyle Darrow, Donovan Henry, Jackson MacDonald, and Kaylin Miranda, earned nine points to the squad's overall score with a New England qualifying mark of 43.29.

In the field, rookie Adam Thomas cleared 4.72 meters in the pole vault for a trip to the New England Championship. Kevin Rosenberg logged a new season-best after earning the title in the shot put with 15.84-meter throw.

The Huskies will return to action next weekend as the squad, once again, sends representatives to multiple events. Northeastern will make appearances at the Minuteman Invite in Amherst, Mass., and the Spec Town National Team Invite, hosted by Georgia.
