Huskies try to #BeatBC Wednesday at Parsons
Riding a two-game unbeaten streak, the Northeastern women's soccer team (2-1-1) will look to take down rival Boston College on Wednesday at Parsons Field at 6 p.m.

Scouting the Eagles
Boston College enters with a 3-1-0 record and a No. 25 national ranking in the most recent TopDrawerSoccer.com poll. The Eagles have beaten Colgate (3-1), Jacksonville (2-1) and North Florida (5-0), but suffered a 2-1 setback against crosstown rival Boston University in the opening weekend of the season. Senior forward Stephanie McCaffrey leads the team with two goals and three assists in four games.

Fancy seeing you again
Northeastern last faced Boston College in the opening round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament, a match won by the Eagles, 2-0, in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Since the inception of the NU women's soccer program in 1996, the Huskies have never beaten BC, posting an 0-9-1 record against their Beantown rivals. The lone draw in the series came in 2005, a 0-0 final on the Huskies' home turf.

Week in review
Northeastern posted a 1-0-1 record last week, playing to a scoreless draw at Providence on Thursday and a 1-0 win over New Hampshire on Sunday. Senior Paige Burnett posted her 16th and 17th career shutouts to lower her GAA to 0.23 on the season. Sophomore Kimberly Slade netted her first collegiate goal against the Wildcats, firing home a pass from senior Lahaina Zoller just 1:39 into the match. Northeastern held a 26-4 advantage in shots against UNH and is outshooting its opposition by an 84-31 margin this season.

Defensive dominance
The Huskies' back four of senior Bianca Calderone, senior Awnalisa Walker, sophomore Mackenzie Dowd, and sophomore Skylar LeBlanc has been dominant through four matches of the 2014 season. The quartet has limited opponents to just one goal in 392 minutes, while holding teams to 7.8 shots per game. The Huskies have yet to allow a goal in regulation this year and have shutout UMass Lowell, Providence and New Hampshire.
