PHILADELPHIA – The Northeastern men's basketball team (14-7, 6-2 CAA) will look to improve to 7-0 this season in games following a loss when it takes on CAA-foe Drexel (5-14, 3-5 CAA) on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
STORY LINES• Northeastern and Drexel will meet for the 56th time on Wednesday with the Dragons leading the all-time series, 37-18. The Huskies beat the Dragons in the 2013-14 regular season finale, 54-52, before eliminating Drexel from the 2014 CAA tournament in a 90-81 decision in the quarterfinal round.
Scott Eatherton led the Huskies on that day with 23 points and 15 rebounds.Â
• The Huskies are coming off a 78-62 setback against William & Mary on Jan. 24. Northeastern trailed, 63-60, with 5:23 to play, before falling into a 1-for-9 slump to end the game. William & Mary closed the contest on a 15-2 run to pull away and end the Huskies' five-game CAA winning streak. Northeastern never led, but pulled within a basket five times in the second half after trailing by 11 at the break.
• Redshirt junior
Quincy Ford led Northeastern with 17 points on Saturday at William & Mary. Ford enters Wednesday's game against Drexel with 991 career points; with nine more points, Ford will become the 33rd player in program history to eclipse the 1,000-point plateau. Ford would be the seventh Husky to reach the milestone under head coach
Bill Coen, and the first since Jonathan Lee, who scored his 1,000th point against Drexel on Feb. 2, 2013.
• Sophomore
T.J. Williams scored 14 points on Saturday against the Tribe to give him five straight double-figure scoring games. Over that span, the Huskies' point guard is averaging 14.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per contest.
• Senior

Eatherton leads the CAA with 30 blocked shots and has scored in double figures in 18 of 21 games this season. The Hershey, Pennsylvania native ranks second in the CAA and 19th in the nation with a 58.2 shooting percentage.
• The Huskies out-rebounded William & Mary by a 35-28 margin on Saturday. Northeastern has out-boarded its opponent in 15 of 21 games this season (12-3 in those games) and leads the CAA in rebounding defense with 29.3 rebounds allowed per game.
• On Wednesday at Drexel, Northeastern will look to improve to 7-0 this season in games following a loss. The Huskies have not dropped back-to-back games since falling to Towson and William & Mary on Feb. 20-22, 2014.
• Since head coach
Bill Coen took charge of the Huskies in 2006, Northeastern is 6-1 against Drexel when holding the Dragons to 60 or fewer points. Conversely, NU is 1-10 vs. Drexel when allowing 61 points or more. The Huskies' lone win when allowing more than 61 points came in the teams' last meeting when NU outlasted Drexel, 90-81, in the 2014 CAA quarterfinals.Â
