Kendall Coyne of the Northeastern women's hockey team was named to the 23-player Four Nations Cup roster for the U.S. Women's National Team, as announced Thursday.
Coyne is one of 13 players named to the squad that won gold for Team USA at the 2015 IIHF Women's World Championship.
The 2015 Four Nations Cup (USA, Canada, Finland, Sweden) will take place on Nov. 4-8 in Sundsvall and Kovland, Sweden. This year's edition will mark Coyne's sixth appearance for Team USA at the event. Coyne previously helped the Americans capture the gold medal in 2011 and 2012.
The Palos Heights, Illinois, native is off to a fast start this season with five points in two games. Coyne was named the Warrior Player of the Week in Hockey East on Sept. 28 after notching her eighth career hat trick in a 9-5 win at St. Lawrence on Sunday.
Northeastern (1-0-1) will open a seven-game homestand starting Saturday with an exhibition contest against Toronto Leaside at 2 p.m.
