Season StatisticsCHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 5 Northeastern women's hockey team (10-2-1, 6-1-0 WHEA) put a scare into unbeaten No. 2 Boston College (15-0-0, 9-0-0 WHEA), but ultimately fell by a score of 4-2 on Friday night at Conte Forum.
Kaliya Johnson broke a 2-2 tie at the 12:43 mark of the third period, and Tori Sullivan added an empty-netter with one second remaining to give BC a two-goal win in a game that was evenly-matched from start to finish.Â

Kendall Coyne scored her 19th goal of the season with a power-play tally in the first period, and junior
Hayley Scamurra extended her point-streak to nine games with a goal in the third.Â
Goal Recaps• The Huskies struck first on the power play just 3:21 into the contest. After collecting the puck along the right boards, sophomore
Denisa Krizova drifted to the middle of the ice and wristed a shot toward the cage for Coyne to deflect home between the circles to make it 1-0.
• BC tied the score just over a minute later when Dana Trivigno centered for Sullivan to fire home from point-blank range at the 4:29 mark.Â
• The Eagles took their first lead of the night at the 10:37 mark of the third period when Meghan Grieves snapped a shot by NU netminder
Brittany Bugalski (28 saves) from the left circle.
• NU responded just 17 seconds later when Krizova laid a pass off to Scamurra in the neutral zone. The junior carried the puck up the ice with speed, gained the zone, and ripped a wrister by BC netminder Katie Burt (21 saves) from a sharp angle on the left wing to knot the score at 2-2.
• The Eagles regained the lead at 3-2 at the 12:43 mark of the frame when Johnson pushed a shot through traffic and between the pads of Bugalski from the right circle.Â
• Sullivan then beat the buzzer with an empty-net tally at 19:59 to give BC the 4-2 win.
