AMERICA EAST TIES• Northeastern will return to its America East roots twice this season.
• The Huskies will face their first America East foe of the year when Stony Brook comes to town on Saturday, Dec. 12
• Northeastern will later face Vermont on Dec. 22.
• Northeastern was one of the original founding teams of the America East conference in the 1979-80 season and was a part of the conference for 25 years prior to leaving for the CAA at the end of the 2005 season.
• Stony Brook joined the America East conference in the 2001-02 season (along with Albany and Binghamton) after making the jump to Division I athletics.
• The two teams only faced each other as conference opponents nine times, eight during the regular season and once in the America East tournament.
• Four of Northeastern's top-5 most frequent opponents are former or current members of the America East Conference in Boston University (144), New Hampshire (122), Maine (111) and Vermont (69).
• Northeastern and Vermont will face each other for the 70th time on December 22.

SCOUTING THE SEAWOLVES • Stony Brook is led by senior Jameel Warney who is averaging a double-double to begin his 2015-16 campaign.
• Warney is averaging 17.9 ppg and 12.4 rpg against the Seawolves' opponents.
• Also averaging double-figures on the year are fellow seniors Carson Puriefoy and Rayshaun McGrew. Pureifoy has notched 13.0 points per game and McGrew 11.8.
• Warney has tallied a .581 field goal percentage on the year, knocking down 54 shots already.
• The Huskies, who have hit double-digit 3-pointers in the last four games will have to go against a defense that has only allowed their opponents 38 threes on the year for a shooting percentage of .273. Northeastern is shooting .378 from deep on the year.

THIS SEASON• Stony Brook is off to a 4-3 start to the season, two of those wins over Division I opponents, two against Division III foes.
• The Seawolves are coming off of a 61-86 loss at Notre Dame on Tuesday night.
• Stony Brook is 3-0 at home this season, but are 0-3 on the road to start off the year falling in overtime at Vanderbilt, at Western Kentucky and at Notre Dame.
• The Seawolves are outscoring their opponents by a greater than 16-point margin thanks in part to the season opening 103-32 win over the U.S. Merchant Maring Academy.

ALL-TIME SERIES• Stony Brook and Northeastern have met 11 times in the past with the Huskies holding a 6-5 series lead. The two teams met for the first time during the 2001-02 season, when the Seawolves first joined the America East conference.
• After Northeastern left the AE for the CAA in 2005, the two squads reunited for a two-game series in 2011-12, and 2012-13. The game during the 2011-12 series was a part of ESPN BracketBusters at Northeastern.

Bill Coen era, and the 150th victory of Coen's tenure, with a 78-77 upset over No. 15/19 Miami in Coral Gables.

NATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR FORD• For his efforts against Miami, redshirt senior
Quincy Ford was named the CAA Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
• Ford finished the game with a season-high 24 points, six rebounds and four steals and was 5-of-10 from three-point range.
• In addition to the CAA accolades, Ford was tabbed as the Lou Henson Award National Player of the Week and the College Sports Madness Conference and High-Major National Player of the Week.

NATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR NU• After the Miami victory, the Huskies are currently receiving one vote in the AP Top-25 poll
• This marks the fourth time in history and the second consecutive season that the Huskies have received at least one vote in the AP Poll.
• The Huskies received votes in the AP Poll last season after defeating another ACC foe in Florida State, 76-73 in Tallahassee.

WALKER ON FIRE• Senior
David Walker currently leads the conference and is 15th in the country with his 22.1 ppg average while his 199 total points top the conference and rank FIFTH nationally.
• His 61 field goals made, ranks first in the conference and ranks 40th in the nation.
• Walker has helped himself, and his team, picking off his opponents 17 times this season, second in the conference and 56th in the nation.
• Walker's free throw shooting is also impressive as his 85.5 FT% is 3rd in the CAA and 94th in the country
• Walker began the season setting a new career high with 27 points against Boston University in a season opening, overtime victory over the crosstown rivals.
• Walker averaged 23.3 points over the course of the Men Against Breast Cancer Challenge also collecting 11 rebounds, 11 assists and nine steals while shooting .561 from the field and .450 from behind the arc.
• Walker set a new career high against Lipscomb tallying 30-points, his first 30-point effort and the first for a Husky in nearly eight seasons.

David Walker is 47-of-55 on the season from the free-throw line, with an 85.5 FT percentage which ranks third the conference and 94th in the country.

• Northeastern will likely face two AP ranked teams this season when current-No. 3 Michigan State comes to Matthews Arena on Dec. 19.
• Prior to Miami, the last AP ranked team Northeastern faced during the regular season was at No. 19 Connecticut on Dec. 6, 2006, the third ranked team Northeastern faced that season.
• Northeastern did face a ranked team last season when they took on AP No. 11 Notre Dame in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, a 65-69 loss on March 19, 2015.Â
