InfographicBOSTON – The Northeastern men's basketball team (16-8, 8-3 CAA) shot 60 percent from the field en route to a 69-62 victory over Towson (11-13, 4-7 CAA) in CAA action Wednesday at Matthews Arena.

Quincy Ford added 11 points and six rebounds.
Northeastern out-rebounded Towson, 31-25, and converted 21 free throws and six 3-pointers to pick up its fifth straight home win in CAA play.
Byron Hawkins (13 points), Mike Morsell (12 points) and John Davis (12 points) scored in double figures for the Tigers, who dropped their eighth decision in the last nine meetings with the Huskies.
The Huskies shot a season-high 72 percent (13-for-18) in the first half to take a 39-26 lead into halftime.Â
Eatherton, Walker and Williams each reached the 10-point mark in the first 20 minutes and combined to make 11 of 13 field goals in the half, including four 3-pointers.
Eatherton showcased his range in the first three minutes, knocking down a pair of triples to give NU a 9-2 lead.
Walker then brought the crowd to its feet with a baseline slam, plus the foul, to extend the Huskies' advantage to 17-10 at the 12-minute mark.
Northeastern finished the half with six field goals on its last eight possessions, capped by a finger-roll from senior
Reggie Spencer in the closing seconds.
The Huskies continued to roll early in the second half, pushing their lead to as many as 17, 47-30, with 16:30 to play. Ford took over during the spurt, draining a 3-pointer from the right wing at the end of the shot clock, before hitting a mid-range jumper from the baseline on the ensuing possession.
Northeastern maintained a double-digit lead until the three-minute mark when Towson made one final push to get back into the game.Â
A 6-0 Tigers' run cut the NU lead to 63-59 with 38 seconds to play, but Towson would get no closer as Walker and Ford salted the game away at the foul line.
The Huskies return to action Saturday for a noon contest against Delaware at Matthews Arena. The game will be shown live on Comcast SportsNet New England.
