Northeastern will compete at the IC4A/ECAC Championship this weekend.
Huskies sweep New England Championships • Tentative Schedule

BOSTON – Following a sweep at the New England Championships, the Northeastern Track and Field program is back in action this weekend at the IC4A/ECAC Championships, hosted by Boston University.

The championships kick off on Friday, March 6 and run through Sunday, March 8. The Huskies will send their qualifying athletes to the event. The tentative schedule for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday's events can be found here.

Last season, the men took home 16th overall at the IC4A Championships, while the women earned a 41st-place finish in the ECAC Championships.

Two current Huskies recorded personal bests at last year's event. Paul Duffey recorded a then-PR time of 1:51.50 in the 800-meter run. Donovan Henry shined in the 200-meter dash, setting a new then-career best time of 21.91.

Last time out
Both the men and women won the New England Championships last weekend. The men earned first place out of 32 competing teams; the women locked up the top spot against 34 other teams. For the women, it was the second straight year they secured first place at the Championships and third overall since the 2004 season.

19 different Huskies on the women's side secured top-10 finishes or better. Lucy Young and Camille Gooden shined in their respective events, taking home the top-spot in the 3000-meter and 500-meter dash. Young completed her race in 9:41.06; Gooden wrapped up the 500-meter with a time of 1:13.69.

On the men's side Stephen Sollowin had an excellent weekend, securing two first-place finishes in the 3000-meter run and the mile run. Sollowin finished the two events in 8:19.64 and 4:07.31, respectively. Kyle Darrow continued his strong start to the season in the long jump, earning the top spot once again, this time with a jump of 7.58 meters.

The road ahead
Northeastern will now head south to Fayetteville, Arkansas, next weekend, as select athletes will compete in the NCAA Indoor Championships. The Championships are scheduled to take place from Friday, March 13 to Saturday, March 14.
