BOSTON – Northeastern University's 113th commencement included 64 student-athletes on Friday morning at TD Garden. The group, which covers degrees from across NU's different colleges, experienced success on the field of competition as well as in the classroom during their time on Huntington Avenue.

Among this year's graduates are 14 student-athletes who finished their undergraduate coursework with a 3.8 grade point average or higher during the Spring 2015, 44 who concluded their undergraduate degrees with a grade point average of 3.0 or better, and 18 who finished with a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Numerous more have earned CAA Commissioner's Honor Roll and Dean's List recognition. These student-athletes also led a department that finished the 2015 Spring semester with a cumulative grade point average of 3.19, the highest for the department in more than 10 years. During the spring, 52 student-athletes earned Top Dog status, 25 had perfect 4.0 GPAs and another 111 were named to the Dean's List.

Four graduates (Maria Lanyi, Amy Steele, MacKenzie Bartz and Nikko Lara) were named to the Huntington 100 during their time at Northeastern, which recognizes students across the University based on criteria that are commensurate with the University's mission, ideals, values and academic plan. The selection committee considered students for their impact on the campus community, record of service, global engagement, demonstrated leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to the ideals and values of Northeastern.

The student procession begins at 9:25 a.m. at the TD Garden before the ceremony begins at 10 a.m. Northeastern University will also provide a live stream of the event at www.northeastern.edu. David Muir, the Emmy award- winning anchor of ABC World News Tonight, will deliver the commencement address and will also receive an honorary degree.
