BOSTON – The Northeastern women's soccer team (3-1-0) will look to earn its fourth straight win when it welcomes crosstown rival Boston University to Parsons Field on Thursday for a 6 p.m. contest.

NCAA TOURNEY REMATCH
Northeastern ended BU's 2014 season with a 2-0 victory at Nickerson Field in the NCAA tournament opening round last season. A first half own-goal gave the Huskies a lead they would not relinquish, before Taylor Caparo doubled the advantage in the second half. The victory gave Northeastern its first-ever NCAA tournament win.

HOT AT HOME
The Huskies' win over St. Joseph's on Aug. 28 extended NU's home unbeaten streak to nine straight games dating back to last season (7-0-2). During that span, the Red & Black have outscored visitors by a 19-3 margin, including seven clean sheets.

DOWD NAMED TO TDS TEAM OF THE WEEK
Junior Mackenzie Dowd was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week on Sept. 1 after netting a pair of goals last week. On Aug. 28 against St. Joseph's, Dowd scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lift NU to a 2-1 win. The Gig Harbor, Wash., native then added another goal on Aug. 30 in a 6-1 decision at UMass Lowell. Dowd has now been named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week four times in her career.

NU MAINTAINS PLACE IN MID-ATLANTIC POLL
For the second straight week, the Northeastern women's soccer team was ranked second in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Poll. Fellow CAA program William & Mary maintained its No. 1 spot in the region, while James Madison moved up four spots from No. 10 to No. 6. Hofstra stayed at No. 8 for the second straight week to give the CAA four of the top 10 slots in the poll.

HUSKIES TIE PROGRAM RECORD
Northeastern matched a program record with six goals scored in a single game in a 6-1 win at UMass Lowell on Aug. 30. The offensive outpouring tied the mark set on Sept. 10, 2003 in a 6-1 win at Iona.

Six different players scored in the win over the River Hawks: Breeana Koemans, Hannah Rosenblatt, Nicole Gorman, Mackenzie Dowd, Hannah Lopiccolo and Carly Wilhelm. Koemans (goal, assist), Wilhelm (goal, assist) and Taylor Caparo (two assists) each posted multi-point performances as well.

QUICK STRIKES
The Huskies have scored within the opening seven minutes in each of their first four matches this season. Taylor Caparo scored in the seventh minute at South Carolina on Aug. 21, Kayla Cappuzzo scored in the sixth minute against Furman on Aug. 23 and the fifth minute against St. Joseph's on Aug. 28, and Breeana Koemans scored in the fifth minute against UMass Lowell on Aug. 30.

OFFENSE ON DISPLAY
Through four games, Northeastern leads all CAA teams with 12 goals and a scoring average of 3.0 goals per game. Eight different players have found the back of the net at least once.

The Huskies also lead the CAA and rank eighth nationally with 12 assists in 2015. Freshman Nicole Gorman tops the conference and ranks 11th nationally with three helpers thus far.
