BOSTON – The Northeastern women's swimming and diving team hits the road for the Dartmouth Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 22-23.
The swimming portion will take place at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in White River Junction, Vermont, while diving will be held on the Big Green's campus at Karl Michael Pool, 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Friday's session will open at 5 p.m. and Saturday will commence at 10 a.m.

Sound bite"The Dartmouth Invitational is a tremendous regional competition," said head coach
Roy Coates. "Dartmouth, BC and UMass are three of the best swimming schools in New England and represent three significant conferences. We will have a real good sense of how we rank after the weekend. Based on our training, I expect that our squad will continue to race and dive well against all competition," he added.

All-time at the Dartmouth InvitationalThe Huskies are going on their fourth straight year competing in the Dartmouth Invitational. After finishing runner up in 2014, NU picked up first place overall last season with 1,007 points, edging host Big Green by just one point. In the dual-meets, the Huskies ironically lost to Dartmouth by one, 177-176, but took home two head-to-head victories against Massachusetts, 232-114, and Connecticut College, 268-75. The Big Green owns the all-time series vs. the Huskies 8-7 and 3-0 in the invitational. Northeastern holds the advantage against Boston College, 10-5 and 2-0 at the Dartmouth Invitational and against Massachusetts 10-5 all-time, 2-1 at Dartmouth.
Scouting the fieldDartmouth (0-4, 0-4 Ivy League) looks to gain their first team win and dual-meet victory this weekend. The Big Green finished fifth at Princeton's Big Al Invitational in December and are coming off a 0-2 weekend vs. Yale and Penn. Boston College stands at 4-2 overall and has yet to see an Atlantic Coast opponent. The Eagles enter the invitational after a 175-120 loss against Marist last Saturday, Jan. 16.Massachusetts is coming off a dual-meet victory run of two vs. Rhode Island and Bryant. The Minutewomen (2-3 and 1-0 Atlantic 10), will see the Huskies again in February at Connecticut's Husky Invitational.
Backed by LeongChristine Leong registered a team best in the 200 backstroke during the Frank Elm Invitational (2:04.13) and has won the event in every meet following that weekend. Prior to the Rutgers visit, the sophomore placed in the event's top-five, including a first place finish vs. MIT and second place vs. Wagner and New Hampshire.
