BOSTON – The Northeastern men's basketball team rounds out its quick, two-game homestand Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. vs. Towson at Matthews Arena.
 
Saturday's game will be a part of "White Out Weekend" at Matthews, no affiliation with Winter Storm Jonas, so make sure you have your white on. First 500 students will get a whiteout Stormtrooper t shirt.   
 
The Huskies and Towson will meet for the first time this season as Northeastern looks to extend an three-game win streak over the Tigers.
                                                                  
Northeastern enters the game with a 12-8 record, 4-3 in CAA play after falling 96-92 to Hofstra in an epic, triple overtime game on Thursday night.   
 
Towson enters the game with a 13-7 overall record, and are also 4-3 in conference action.
 
QUICK HITS
• This is the 96th season of Northeastern men's basketball. NU has an all-time record of 1,167-1,078 (.520) in 2,244 games.
• This will be the 31st meeting between the two teams in program history
• Northeastern holds a 18-12 lead against Towson in the series history
• The Huskies are 9-4 all-time in Boston against Towson and have won the last two games in the series
• The Huskies are coming off of an epic triple overtime loss to Hofstra 96-92 on Thursday
• David Walker finished the game playing all 55 minutes, the most time any Husky has spent on the court in a single game in program history
• Two Huskies notched double-doubles in the loss, Stahl (19p, 11r) & Walker (18p, 13a)
• The 3OT game matched the longest game in program history

• Coen tallied his 150th career win (all at Northeastern) with a 78-77 upset over No. 15/19 Miami on Nov. 27.
• The Huskies are 366-247 (.597) all-time in conference play including a 108-77 (.584) record since joining the CAA in the 2005-06 season.
• The Huskies have amassed 12 regular season conference championships and eight tournament titles including last season's title which sent the Huskies to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 24 years.

IN THE RECORD BOOK
• Quincy Ford has improved from 23rd, where he began the season on the Northeastern all-time scoring chart, to 11th place with 1,474 career points.
• Ford has tallied 334 points this season, and with his 18-point day at Delaware, he passed John Williams' 1,443 career points earned from 1984-88.
• Walker began the year in 29th, and with his 355 points this year, has moved into the Top-15 with 1,395 points.
• Walker jumped into 13th place after an 18-point night against Hofstra (Jan. 21) passing Derrick Lewis (1,394 - 1986-89)
• The duo also finds themselves on the career 3-point field goals list
• Ford can be found on the career blocks chart where he just moved into fifth place all-time

RECORD SETTING 3OT
• Northeastern's 3OT game against Hofstra on Thursday night was just the second in school history
• The last triple overtime game for the Huskies was in the 1982 NCAA Tournament against Villanova, a 76-72 loss
• David Walker played all 55 minutes of the game for NU, the most amount of time any Husky has spent on the floor in a single game in school history. Perry Moss and Dave Leitao played 54 minutes of Northeastern's triple OT NCAA tournament loss.
• Northeastern also connected on a school record 17 3-pointers on the night.
 
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
• The Tigers enter their game with the Huskies with a 13-7 record on the season and 4-3 in conference play.
• Towson is led by Arnaud William Adala-Moto who is averaging 14.4 points per game. Three different Tigers are averaging double figures on the season including Byron Hawkins (13.3 ppg) and Mike Morsell (11.6 ppg)
• Hofstra has started the seven players through the first 20 games of action this season.
• Adala Moto is leading Towson with 8.3 rebounds per game while Morsell has dished out a team-high 45 assists on the year.  
 
THIS SEASON
• Towson is off to a 13-7 start to the season, 4-3 in conference play, in a tie for fifth with the Huskies entering Saturday's game.
• The Tigers began the season 1-3 but put together a six-game win streak and finished non-conference play with a 9-4 record.
• The Tigers began CAA play with a win at William & Mary before falling at home vs. Hofstra by 32. Towson has also picked up wins over UNCW, Drexel and Delaware.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES
• Northeastern and Hofstra have met 30 times in the past with the Huskies holding a 18-12 series advantage.
• The Huskies have won the last two games in the series with the Tigers, sweeping last season's series with Towson, and have won 8 of the last 9 meetings with the Tigers.
 
THIS WEEK IN HUSKY BASKETBALL
• Northeastern began the week in historic fashion with a triple overtime thriller at Matthews Arena against Hofstra on Thursday night
• The triple OT game was just the second in Northeastern history (1982 NCAA Tournament vs. Villanova)
• Five different Huskies scored in double digits, while two Huskies tallied double-doubles in the game
• Zach Stahl notched his second double-double of the season (fourth career) via 19 points and 11 boards
• David Walker also tallied his second career double-double, however this was of the points/assists variety via 18 points and 13 assists.
• Walker marked just the third CAA player to tally a 10+ assist game this season and was the first Husky to do so since Jon Lee had 11 assits agianst Bradley on Dec. 6, 2011.
• The 13 assists were two shy of the school record (6th most in school history) and were the most since Jamaar Walker had 13 vs. Vermont on Feb. 15, 2003
• Walker played all 55 minutes of the game, the most time any Husky men's basketball player has every played in a game in school history.
• Northeastern also connected on a school record 17 3-pointers in the game, the second school record the Huskies have broken this season.
 
BREAKING SCHOOL RECORDS
• The 2015-16 men's basketball team has broken a couple of school records this season
• Just two games into the season the Huskies broke a school record
• Forcing 24 Wentworth turnovers, the Huskies stole the ball away from the Leopards a school record 20 times
• The mark bests the previous record of 19 steals set against Vermont on Dec. 5, 1985.
• After tying the school record for 3-pointers in a game with 14 against Delaware (Jan. 7), as eight different players connected from deep on the night, the Huskies broke the school record in a triple overtime thriller vs. Hofstra (Jan. 21)
• Northeastern connected on 17 threes in the game led by Caleb Donnelly's 5, Quincy Ford and David Walker's 4, Jimmy Marshall's 3, and one from T.J. Williams.
 
EXTRA TIME
• Northeastern has played three overtime games in 2015-16, including a triple overtime thriller vs. Hofstra (Jan. 21)
• The three overtime games this season are the most since the Huskies played in five overtime games during the 2012-13 season
• Northeastern earned a victory in the first OT game of the year, an 87-84 season-opening win over Boston University
• The Huskies fell 87-86 in overtime to Western Michigan Monday Dec. 2.
• For the second time in school history, Northeastern went to three overtimes (1982 NCAA Tournament vs. Villanova) this time with Hofstra (Jan. 21)
• The Huskies fell in a 96-92 battle with the Pride as two different Huskies notched a double-double in the loss
• Northeastern is 39-30 all-time in overtime periods
 
HUSKIES FROM DEEP
• The Huskies have made 180 field goals from behind the arc in 2015-16. The 180 made 3s ranks third in the CAA and 22nd nationally
• The Huskies 3-point shooting percentage, .371, also is in the top of the conference in third, and 72nd nationally
• Northeastern has hit for at least 10 treys in 10 of its 20 games this season
• Nine different Huskies have hit a three this season led by David Walker's 55 and Quincy Ford's 51
• Walker's 55 3FGs ranks second in the CAA and 31st nationally, Ford's 47 rank fourth in the CAA and 53rd nationally
• Northeastern connected on 17 threes in the game led by Caleb Donnelly's 5, Quincy Ford and David Walker's 4, Jimmy Marshall's 3, and one from T.J. Williams.
• Northeastern connected on a then-school record-tying 14 3-pointers against Delaware (Jan. 7) as a school record eight different Huskies connected from deep during the game, one shy of the NCAA record (9).
• Against Vermont (Dec. 22), Northeastern combined for 13 threes on the day led by Quincy Ford (23 points, 7-of-12 3fg) and Caleb Donnelly (career-high 15 points, 5-of-7 3fg)
• The seven 3s for Ford and five for Donnelly were a career-best mark
• Six different Huskies hit a three-point shot against Western Michigan, the first time since Feb. 20, 2013 that six different Northeastern players connected from behind the arc in a single game.
 
NU'S RATING PERCENTAGE INDEX
•  Entering Saturday's game with Delaware, Northeastern is ranks 109th in the RPI, fifth highest in the CAA this season out of 351 Division-I programs
• William & Mary tops the conference with the 44th best RPI in the nation
• Towson enters the contest with an RPI of 197, third worst in the CAA.
• After defeating previously unbeaten Miami, the Huskies tallied their highest RPI ranking of the season at No. 31 on Dec. 1
 
SEEING DOUBLE-DOUBLE
• Northeastern, as a squad, has registered nine double-doubles on the season.
• Quincy Ford leads the way with four double-doubles this season through the first 18 games of the year, a career-high for the redshirt senior
• The four double-doubles rank third in the CAA and 132nd in the nation.
• Leading the CAA are Rokus Gustys of Hofstra and Marvin King-Davis of Delaware with nine on the year.
• Ford had two double-doubles in his freshman (2011-12) and sophomore (2012-13) campaigns
• The four double-doubles are the most since Scott Eatherton had five last season
• Zach Stahl and David Walker each have recorded two double-doubles on the year while Jeremy Miller has notched one
• Stahl and Walker recorded their second double-doubles of the season in a triple OT game vs. Hofstra (Jan. 21). Stahl's was of the points/rebounds variety (19 points, 11 boards) while Walker tallied his via 18 points and a career-high 13 assists
• Stahl registered his on Nov. 20 vs. FAU with a career-high 20 points and 11 rebounds.
• Walker earned his first career double-double at Elon on Dec. 31 notching 26 points and a career-best 12 rebounds
• Miller became the fourth Husky with a double-double against Delaware (Jan. 7) when he achieved the feat for the first time in his career behind 15 points and 11 boards.
 
TAKING ADVANTAGE OF CHARITY
• Northeastern senior David Walker ranks 2nd in the CAA for his free throw shooting percentage thus far in 2015-16
• Walker is 84-99 on the season from the free-throw line, with an 84.8 FT percentage which is second in the conference and ranks 70th in the country.
• His 84 free throws made rank third in the conference and 85th in the country
• Zach Stahl has been consistent at the charity stripe for Northeastern this year and is 47-57 on the year for a 82.5 FT%
• The Huskies, as a team, have taken 426 free throws, fifth in the conference and have capitalized on 304 of them (fourth in the CAA) for a free throw percentage of  71.4%, second in the conference and 108th nationally
• Northeastern has held its opponents to just 306 free throw attempts this year (which, would rank 321st in the nation in free throw attempts as a single team)
 
GET THAT OUTTA HERE
• Quincy Ford leads the Huskies with 20 blocks on the year, fifth in the CAA this season
• Zach Stahl has notched 14 on the season, which ranks 13th in the conference and recorded at least one block in four consecutive games (Nov. 20-27)
• Rookies Jeremy Miller and Anthony Green also are in the top of the pack. Miller has 15 blocks on the season, which ranks 12th in the CAA while Green has tallied eight blocks on the season.
 
LOOKING FOR 100
• Bill Coen is currently the third-winningest coach in Northeastern history with 157 career wins (Jim Calhoun, 250 wins in 14 seasons; Dick Dukeshire, 204 wins in 13 seasons)
• Coen, who tallied his 150th career win in style with a buzzer beating victory over No. 15 Miami, is also closing
in on another milestone in his coaching career
• The 10th year coach is close to win No. 100 in CAA action, he currently has 96 conference victories
