BOSTON – Behind a school record-tying 14 threes, the Northeastern men's basketball improved to 3-0 in conference play with an 88-56 wire-to-wire thrashing of Delaware Thursday night at Matthews Arena.

Eight different Huskies combined for the 14 treys, led by three each by
Quincy Ford and
Caleb Donnelly.
Â
Ford finished the game with 13 points and seven rebounds in 22 minutes of action.
Jeremy Miller led all scorers with 15 points and a career-high 11 rebounds, notching his first career double-double as a Husky.
With the win,
Bill Coen earned his 95
th career conference victory, tying Jim Calhoun for the most ever conference wins by a Northeastern coach.

Eleven different Huskies recorded points on the night for Northeastern, while 11 pulled down a rebound and nine dished out an assist. Northeastern (11-5, 3-0 CAA) tallied 25 assists on 31 baskets, a season-high and the most since Northeastern had 25 assists at George Mason on Feb. 24, 2011.

Northeastern's bench contributed largely to the win outscoring the Delaware bench 37-3. Off the bench,
Brandon Kamga finished with eight points (2-2 3FG),
Jimmy Marshall knocked down a three,
Caleb Donnelly put up three 3-pointers on the night for nine points,
Anthony Green finished 4-for-4 from the charity stripe,
Zach Stahl had nine points, four rebounds and two assists and
Kwesi Abakah had three rebounds and four points, including a monster slam in the second half.

Delaware (5-9, 0-3) was led by Kory Holden who tallied 14 points and six assists on the night.

For the third straight game, the Huskies jumped out to an early lead early before Delaware was able to get on the board. This time the Huskies took a 6-0 advantage before the Blue Hens netted back-to-back baskets to cut the lead to just two.

However, Northeastern held Delaware without a point for the next seven minutes of action while scoring 15 unanswered points to take a 21-4 advantage propelled by three 3-pointers by Begley, Ford and
Donnell Gresham Jr. Gresham's trey forced the Blue Hens to call a timeout.

Maurice Jeffers ended the drought with a layup at the nine-minute mark for Delaware but the early damage had been done as the Huskies held on to the double-digit advantage and extended it to 23 points with a
Zach Stahl buzzer beating jumper to head into halftime with a 44-21 lead.

Northeastern continued to streak and extended a 6-0 streak heading into halftime into an 18-0 run and a game-high 35-point lead with 18:13 remaining in the second half.

Delaware chipped away at the lead and came within 21 points with 5:47 remaining in the game, but could not get any closer as Northeastern cruised on for the win.

Northeastern will return to action on Saturday afternoon as it travels to William & Mary for a 4 p.m. meeting with the Tribe in Williamsburg, Va.Â
Postgame Notes- Northeastern improves to 11-5 on the season, the best 16-game start since the 2008-09 season
- The Huskies are now 3-0 in conference play for the first time since the 2012-13 season
- With Hofstra's loss at the College of Charleston, Northeastern sits atop the CAA standings as the lone team to be undefeated in conference play
