BROOKLINE, Mass. – Sophomore Hannah Rosenblatt scored two goals to help the Northeastern women's soccer team (12-6-1, 7-2-0 CAA) clinch the CAA regular season title with a 2-1 victory over James Madison (8-10-0, 5-4-0 CAA) on senior day Sunday at Parsons Field.

With the win, Northeastern will host the semifinals and final of the 2016 CAA Championship on Nov. 4-6 at Parsons Field. The Huskies will receive a bye in the quarterfinals, which will take place on campus sites next weekend.

Goal Recaps
• NU took a 1-0 lead just 2:56 into the match when Rosenblatt collected the ball along the left wing, took on a pair of defenders, and ripped a low blast across the face of the goal and inside the right post from 18 yards out.
• Rosenblatt struck again at 35:54, taking a right-wing feed from Taylor Caparo, and launching a shot over the outstretched arms of the JMU keeper from just inside the box.
• JMU clawed back into the match in the second half when Ashley Herndon headed home a rebound after Stephanie Hendrie's initial shot had struck the crossbar.

Noteworthy
• Northeastern clinched its third CAA regular season championship in program history.
• The last time NU hosted the CAA Championship (2014), the Huskies won the title, beating Hofstra in the title match by a 2-0 score.
• NU completed the regular season with a 7-1-1 record at home, including a 4-0-0 mark in conference games.
• With seven wins in CAA play, NU tied a program record for most wins in a conference season (NU also won seven games in 2009, 2012 and 2014).
• Rosenblatt finished the regular season with 11 goals and 26 points; both totals are good for the fourth-best single-season marks in program history.
• Rosenblatt netted her fourth game-winning goal of the season.
• Prior to the match, NU honored its 11-member senior class of Caton Beaulieu, Carina Deandreis, Mackenzie Dowd, Breeana Koemans, Skylar LeBlanc, Krista Meaglia, Jill Quinn, Haley Sinclair, Jenny Sinclair, Kimberly Slade and Nicole Wilkins.
