SCOUTING THE SEAWOLVES
• The Seawolves are off to a 1-5 start to the 2016-17 season under the new regime of Jeff Boals.
•Cornell started the season off on a four-game losing streak, falling in the season opener on a buzzer beater, before playing a pair of road games at ACC foes Boston College and Maryland.
• Stony Brook's first win of the season came vs. Hamton in Towson, Md., also Boals' first career victory.
• Heading into their game with the Huskies, Stony Brook is coming off of a one-point loss to Loyola Md. at home on yet another buzzer beater.

•Stony Brook is led by Tyrell Sturdivant who is averaging 14.0 points per game to go along with a team leading 7.7 rebounds per game.
•Lucas Woodhouse had recorded a team-high 26 assists on the year, and UC Iroegbu is .471 from deep, though the Seawolves are only hitting .286 from behind the arc this season.

ALL-TIME SERIES
•Stony Brook and Northeastern have met 12 times in the past with the Huskies holding a 7-5 series lead. The two teams met for the first time during the 2001-02 season, when the Seawolves first joined the America East conference.
•After Northeastern left the AE for the CAA in 2005, the two squads reunited for a two-game series in 2011-12, and 2012-13. The game during the 2011-12 series was a part of ESPN BracketBusters at Northeastern.
•The two teams are rounding out a home-and-home series that began with a 75-62 victory for Northeastern last year at Matthews. After falling to Northeastern, Stony Brook went on an 18-game win streak, the longest active streak in the country at the time.

Jeremy Miller had a career-high 18 points,
Quincy Ford finished with his third double-double of the year and the Northeastern men's basketball team handed Stony Brook a 75-62 loss.
 • Miller notched 14 of his 18 points in the game during the first half behind three, three-point baskets. Ford registered 17 points to go along with 12 rebounds and added five blocks in the game while
David Walker finished with 16 points.

Kwesi Abakah also added some quality points off the bench for Northeastern finishing the game with a career-high eight points in 12 minutes of action while
T.J. Williams chipped in five points and seven rebounds on the day.
 • Jameel Warney paced the Seawolves behind 29 points and 11 rebounds but it wasn't enough as the Huskies snapped a two-game losing streak, both against Stony Brook and on the year, and earned their first win over the Seawolves since the 2005 America East Tournament, Northeastern's final year in the conference.
• Entering the game, Stony Brook held its opponents to just 27.3 percent shooting from three-point range. The Huskies finished the night shooting 53.3 percent from behind the arc.
 • Stony Brook had also outrebounded its opponents by almost 13 rebounds per game. The Huskies outrebounded the Seawolves 43-37.

• The Huskies began their six-game road trip with a mid-week game at Cornell on Wednesday night, falling to the Big Red 80-77 in a game that went down to the wire
• Despite a 27-point, nine assist performance from
T.J. Williams and a career-high 24 point effort by
Alex Murphy, the Huskies were not able to hold off a hot shooting Cornell on their home turf
• Cornell was led by Matt Morgan who entered the game averaging 16.5 points per game. He went off for 34 points behind a career-high seven treys, matching a Cornell record at Newman Arena

T.J. Williams' Northeastern career and did he make the most of it
• During his first 99 games, Williams has tallied 870 points and 282 assists
• In his 100th game, Williams recorded 27 points and nine assists to add to his career numbers

• Through his first seven games of the season,
T.J. Williams has recorded five 20+ point efforts on the year, including a 30-point effort, a career first for the senior, against Boston University in the season opener.
• The last Husky to record as many 20+ point games through the first seven games of the season was Jose Juan Barea, who had six such games to start the 2005-06 season, also his senior campaign, more than 10 years ago
• Through the first seven games, Williams is averaging a CAA leading 23.1 points per game, 6.6 apg, and 3.7 rebounds per game

Alex Murphy reset his career scoring mark Wednesday night at Cornell
• After a career night in his Husky debut against Boston University netting 20 points, four rebounds and four assists, Murphy went off for 24 points at Cornell
• His 24 points, came on 11-of-16 shooting, both career bests for the Duke and Florida transfer
• He also added four assists, the second time in his career that he has reached that mark, and six rebounds, his fourth career 5+ rebound game and second of the season
• Another career best came on Nov. 14 at UConn when he pulled down 15 rebounds, doubling his previous career best (7)

• After putting up a career-high 12 points and a career-high tying four rebounds against Kent State, Rookie Max Boursiquot was honored as the CAA Rookie of the Week (Nov. 28)
• The freshman scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half to help the Huskies overcome a 17-point deficit at intermission, including six in a decisive 13-0 run

T.J. Williams has been on fire to start the 2016-17 season posting a 23.1 points per game average, which tops the CAA and ranks 12th in the country this season
• Not only is Williams scoring, but he is aiding his teammates and has 46 assists on the year or 6.6 per game, which tops the CAA and ranks 11th nationally
• Williams notched the first 30-point game of his career to begin the season against Boston University and has 20+ point games in four of the first five games to begin the season
• More than one-third of Williams' points have come from the free throw line (59-of-162), the most free throws made by an individual in the CAA and third-most in the country in 2016-17
• Hia 162 total points also rank first in the CAA and 20th in the nation
