BOSTON – Thursday night, the Northeastern men's basketball team is on the road back at Towson for a 7 p.m. meeting with the Tigers at SECU Arena.
 
The Huskies and Towson will meet for the second time this season as Northeastern looks to split the season series with the Tigers. Last time out against Towson, David Walker recorded his third 30-point game of the season with a career high 32 points on 13-of-14 shooting from the free throw line.
                                                                                                                                                                       
Northeastern enters the game with a 12-13 record, 4-8 in CAA play after falling 90-73 to UNCW Saturday night.   
 
Towson enters the game with a 17-8 overall record, and are 8-4, in a tie for third place, in conference action.
 
QUICK HITS
• This is the 96th season of Northeastern men's basketball. NU has an all-time record of 1,167-1,082 (.519) in 2,248 games.
• This will be the 32nd meeting between the two teams in program history
• Northeastern leads the series between the two teams 18-13 though Towson won the earlier meeting this season
• The Huskies are 8-6 all-time in Towson against the Tigers
• The Huskies are coming off of a tough loss to UNCW 90-73 on Saturday, their sixth straight loss
• Towson has won four of its last five games, including a 79-72 victory over the Huskies
• Last time out, Zach led the Huskies with 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting while Quincy Ford made his return to the court notching 15 points and five rebounds.
• With four points against Towson, David Walker will hit the 1,500 point threshold during his Northeastern career (1,496)
• Quincy Ford will also look to cross the 1,500 mark with 11 points, he has 1,489 entering Thursday's game
• Zach Stahl has recorded 964 career points, after tallying a 272 this season, en route to a season-high (290- 2014-15)
• With Northeastern's win at Delaware, head coach Bill Coen is now holds the title of most conference victories by a Northeastern coach, passing Jim Calhoun (more on page 6)
• Coen tallied his 150th career win (all at Northeastern) with a 78-77 upset over No. 15/19 Miami on Nov. 27.
• The Huskies are 366-251 (.593) all-time in conference play including a 108-81 (.571) record since joining the CAA in the 2005-06 season.
• The Huskies have amassed 12 regular season conference championships and eight tournament titles including last season's title which sent the Huskies to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 24 years.

• Get the Huskies' record back to the .500 mark and improve to 13-13 on the season
• Improve Northeastern to 5-8 in CAA play
• Give Northeastern a 19-13 all-time record against Towson

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
• The Tigers enter their game with the Huskies with a 17-8 record on the season and 8-4 in conference play.
• Towson is led by Arnaud William Adala-Moto who is averaging 14.6 points per game. Four different Tigers are averaging double figures on the season including Byron Hawkins (13.4 ppg), Mike Morsell (12.6 ppg) and John Davis (10.0 ppg).
• Towson has started eight players through the first 25 games of action this season.
• Adala Moto is leading Towson with 8.2 rebounds per game while Morsell has dished out a team-high 59 assists on the year.  
 
THIS SEASON
• Towson, through 25 games has a 17-8 record on the season, and has earned an 8-4 conference record, in a tie for third with James Madison and Hofstra entering Thursday's game.
• The Tigers began the season 1-3 but put together a six-game win streak and finished non-conference play with a 9-4 record.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES
• Northeastern and Towson have met 31 times in the past with the Huskies holding a 18-13 series advantage.
• The Huskies had won the last two games in the series with the Tigers, sweeping last season's series with Towson, but fell in the first meeting this season. Northeastern has won 8 of the last 10 meetings with the Tigers.
 
LAST TIME VS. TOWSON
• On Saturday afternoon, Northeastern pushed Towson to the wire, but fell 72-79 at home following a quick turnaround from Thursday night's historic triple overtime game vs. Hofstra
• David Walker notched his third 30-point game of the season dropping a career-high 32 against Towson with 13 of those points coming from the free throw line, also a career best
• T.J. Williams finished with 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting
• The two teams combined for 52 personal fouls and 71 free throw attempts in the contest.
 
HUSKIES FROM DEEP
• The Huskies have made 222 field goals from behind the arc in 2015-16. The 222 made 3s ranks third in the CAA and 24th nationally
• The Huskies 3-point shooting percentage, .381, tops the conference, and ranks 36th nationally
• Northeastern has hit for at least 10 treys in 13 of its 25 games this season
• Ten different Huskies have hit a three this season led by David Walker's 74 and Quincy Ford's 52
• Walker's 74 3FGs ranks first in the CAA and 15th nationally, Ford's 52 rank eighth in the CAA and 180th nationally
 
DOUBLE-DIGITS BEHIND THE ARC
• Northeastern has recorded double-digit 3-point field goal games 13 times this season through the first 25 games of action
• The 13 games rank in the top-10 in the country in that category, in 10th place
• North Florida, who leads the country with 323 3FG, also leads with 22 games this season in double-digit field goals.
• Northeastern combined for a school record 17 treys against Delaware
• The 17 threes rank as the 18th most in a single game this season

WALKER FROM DEEP
• David Walker has 74 threes through 25 games this season for the Huskies.
• The senior leads the team, the CAA and ranks 15th nationally in made 3FG in 2015-16
• His 74 threes bests his total last season and ranks fifth all-time on the Northeastern 3FG Made Single Season chart
• His 74 threes are also the most through 25 games in school history
• Walker has notched at least one 3-pointer in each game this season and has tallied 5+ 3-pointers in six games this season, the most in school history
• Jose Juan Barea, who had 73 treys and Marcus Barnes who had a then-school record 81 threes in 2003-04 each had 72 3-pointers through 25 games that year
• In addition, Walker has connected on 227 career 3-pointers, which ranks third place on the Northeastern all-time chart
• His career 3-point shooting percentage of .388 currently ranks fourth all-time among all Huskies

IN THE RECORD BOOK
• Quincy Ford has improved from 23rd, where he began the season on the Northeastern all-time scoring chart, to 11th place with 1,489 career points.
• Ford has tallied 349 points this season, and with his 15-point day at Delaware, he passed Marcus Blossom's 1,475 career points earned from 1997-01.
• Walker began the year in 29th, and with his 456 points this year, has moved into the Top-10 with 1,496 points.
• Walker jumped into 10th place after a 19-point night against William & Mary (Feb. 4) passing Ford and Marcus Blossom (1,475)

LAST WEEK IN HUSKY BASKETBALL
• The Huskies began the week at Matthews Arena on Thursday night vs. William & Mary
• After falling behind early, Northeastern regained the lead and headed into halftime with a 37-31 lead.
• In the second half, William & Mary shot 64.5 percent from the field and tallied 55 points (a season-high for a Husky opponent) en route to the comeback victory
•Jeremy Miller notched a career-high 23 points in the game while David Walker tallied 19 points which boosted him into the top-10 on the Northeastern career scoring chart with 1,484 career points
• Walker also connected for four 3-pointers on the night on the night as he moved into third place all-time on the NU charts (226) past Matt Janning (222).
• Walker now has 73 treys this season, fifth all-time in a single season at Northeastern
• The Huskies rounded out the week against the No. 1 team in the CAA, UNCW, on Saturday
• After defeating the Seahawks on a last second layup to begin the month of January, UNCW came out firing, but the Huskies pulled within one at halftime.
• In the second half, the Seahawks raced out to a quick 10 point lead and never looked back earning the 90-73 win
• T.J. Williams went 8-for-11 from the charity stripe, career-highs for the junior
• Zach Stahl led the Huskies with 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting while Quincy Ford returned and finished with 15 points on the night
 
NU'S RATING PERCENTAGE INDEX
•  Entering Thursday's game with Towson, Northeastern ranks 144th in the RPI, seventh highest in the CAA this season out of 351 Division-I programs
• William & Mary leads the conference with the 38th best RPI in the nation
• Entering Thursday's game, Towson ranks eighth in the conference with an RPI of 163
• After defeating previously unbeaten Miami, the Huskies tallied their highest RPI ranking of the season at No. 31 on Dec. 1
 
TAKING ADVANTAGE OF CHARITY
• Northeastern senior David Walker ranks 1st in the CAA for his free throw shooting percentage thus far in 2015-16

IN THE RANKINGS

• The Huskies foe in the Winter Showdown, Michigan State was ranked No. 1 in the AP Top-25 and USA Today Coaches polls when it faced Northeastern on Dec. 19. The Spartans currently rank No. 8/9
• Northeastern handed ACC foe Miami (FL) its lone loss, through its first 14 games of action, on the season. The 13-3 Hurricanes sit at No. 12/11.
