Shane Allen combined to deliver four of the Huskies' eight hits, despite neither player scoring.
Pat Madigan and
Josh Treff both doubled for Northeastern (4-4), who salvaged a four-game split for the second time in two weeks.

Nate Borges each pitched for 2.2 innings apiece, while Borges earned his first victory of the season.
Tyler Robinson and
Isaac Lippert preserved the Huskies' lead until the eighth inning, when
Mike Fitzgerald entered to begin his six-out save.

Nolan Lang smacked an RBI single with the bases loaded, scoring Madigan from third. Treff proceeded to double through the gap in left center, scoring
Zach Perry from second and tying the game up at 2-2.

Max Burt kept the Huskies' rally alive, hitting a two-RBI single to left field that left Northeastern in front, 4-2.

Fitzgerald surrendered one run during the bottom of the eighth, but tossed a one-two-three ninth inning to seal the win for NU.

Northeastern will travel to Fort Myers, Florida, on Monday, Feb. 29, to compete in its annual spring exhibition game against the Red Sox. First pitch is 4:05 p.m., while live television coverage will being on NESN at 4 p.m. Sophomore right-hander
