BOSTON – The Northeastern basketball team has earned the No. 6 seed and will begin CAA Tournament play on Saturday night against No. 3 Towson at 8:30 p.m. at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Md.
The game will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet, however, due to a Celtics game being played at the same time, will not be shown live on CSN-New England, but will tape-delay the game until 11:00 PM on Saturday night and replay it again on Sunday morning at 7:30 AM. LIve streaming of the game will be available at CAA.TV.

Northeastern enters the game with a 17-14 record, finishing CAA play with a 9-9 record and has won five of its last six games entering the tournament.

Towson finished the regular season with a 20-11 overall record and was 11-7 in conference play. The Tigers went 3-2 after falling to Northeastern to end the season.

THIS YEAR VS. TOWSON• In the first meeting between the two teams this season, Northeastern pushed Towson to the wire, but fell 72-79 at home following a quick turnaround from Thursday night's historic triple overtime game vs. Hofstra

David Walker notched his third 30-point game of the season dropping a career-high 32 against Towson with 13 of those points coming from the free throw line, also a career best

LAST WEEK IN HUSKY BASKETBALL• In a game that saw seven ties and 12 lead changes, Northeastern came out on top in a 58-57 barnburner against Charleston on Thursday night
• Fouled with 4.7 seconds left driving to the basket looking for the game winner,
Quincy Ford headed to the line and drained both of his free throw attempts, the first to tie the game at 57-all, the second, the ultimate game-winner
• The win pushed the Huskies into a tie for sixth place with Charleston (8-9) in the CAA standings

Zach Stahl became the 36th member of the Northeastern 1,000-point club using a free throw late in the first half to achieve the feat on Senior Night in front of his family and friends

• Northeastern rounded out the week with another close game overcoming a seven-point halftime deficit to earn a two-point, 61-59 victory at Drexel to seal the No 6 seed in the CAA Tournament
