BROOKLINE, Mass. – Sophomore
Hannah Rosenblatt scored with 7.7 seconds left in double overtime to give the Northeastern women's soccer team (1-1-1) its first win of the season in a 2-1 triumph over Providence (0-2-1) on Thursday at Parsons Field.

• Providence took the lead in the 20th minute when Kathryn Hiller headed a Kayla Steeves corner kick inside the right post.
• Caparo equalized at the 82:10 mark when she tipped a
Hannah Lopiccolo cross inside the right post from the middle of the box.Â
• The match appeared to be headed for a 1-1 final before a tremendous play by senior
Breeana Koemans set up the game-winner. After collecting the ball inside the NU half with just over 10 seconds remaining, Koemans picked out Rosenblatt with a perfect ball into space on the left wing. The sophomore collected the ball, dribbled right at the Providence defense, and smashed a powerful strike inside the right post from the top of the box with 7.7 seconds showing on the scoreboard clock.Â
Noteworthy
• Rosenblatt scored her second career goal, both of which have been game-winners. Her previous goal came on Aug. 30 in a 6-1 win at UMass Lowell.
• Caparo netted her fourth collegiate goal and scored NU's first goal of the year for the second consecutive season.
• Lopiccolo earned an assist on Caparo's tally to give her 30 career points in two-plus seasons.

Nathalie Nidetch was strong in net once again, making nine saves, including a point-blank denial on Providence's Rachel Ugolik in the first overtime.
• The Huskies held a 15-14 edge in shots.
