BOSTON – For the second straight season, 17
th ranked Boston University eked by the Northeastern field hockey team using a man-up opportunity in overtime. This season, the Terriers won by a 2-1 score, 75:50 into action.

The Huskies are now 6-4 all-time against the Terriers in overtime with Boston University winning the last three games

Laura MacLachlan tallied Northeastern's lone goal of the game, at 27:33, while notching three shots, two on goal. Taylor Blood was in on both goals for the Terriers, assiting on the first, while notching the game-winner.

Becky Garner made three saves on the night, while BU goalkeeper Cammy Jensen tallied the same.

Northeastern, who only allowed two penalty corners through the first two games, gave the Terriers three chances in the game while taking just two of their own.

The Terriers got on top midway through the first half as a long pass down the sideline set up the first goal of the game.

But just eight minutes later, the Huskies evened the score as
Rachel Campbell set up a beautiful pass inside the circle right to MacLachlan who tied the game at one-all with her second goal of the season. For Campbell, the helper was her first career point.

Stingy defense by both squads in the second half forced a second straight overtime game for the Huskies. In addition, the two teams reverted to 7-on-7 action to settle the score for the second straight season.
The Huskies return to action on Sunday when they close out their four-game road stand with a game at Vermont at 2 p.m.
