BOSTON – The Northeastern women's soccer team (6-5-1, 1-1-0 CAA) will wrap up its four-game CAA road trip this weekend against UNCW on Friday at 7 p.m. and the College of Charleston on Sunday at 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Northeastern earned a split in its first two conference games last weekend. The Huskies opened CAA play with a tough, 2-1 overtime setback at Delaware on Sept. 23. Junior Hannah Lopiccolo netted the game-tying goal in the 65th minute to force extra time, but Delaware had the final say when Madison Brosler fired home the winner just two minutes into overtime. The Huskies bounced back two days later with an overtime win of their own at Drexel. After a scoreless 90 minutes of regulation, a handball in the Drexel box afforded NU a penalty kick in the 94th minute. Sophomore Hannah Rosenblatt calmly stepped up to the spot and drilled home the game-winner to give NU three huge points in the standings. The strike was Rosenblatt's second OT goal of the season and third game-winning goal in 2016 overall.

SCOUTING UNCW
The Huskies are 7-5-0 all-time against UNCW and are riding a three-game win streak against the Seahawks. NU faced UNCW last October, coming away with a 3-2 victory after an overtime goal by Mackenzie Dowd. UNCW's high-powered offense is led by junior midfielder Serenity Waters, who has tallied five goals and six assists for a team-high 16 points, and freshman forward Nikki Cox, who leads the team in goals with six.

SCOUTING CHARLESTON
Northeastern has faced the College of Charleston just three times in program history, winning each of those matchups. The Cougars have played eight straight games without a loss this season, including its conference opener, a 0-0 tie against UNCW. Sophomore forwards Jessica Schifer and Laura Ortega lead the team in points with 11 each. Senior goalkeeper Lauren Killian holds a 0.64 goals against average and a 0.863 save percentage.

NU VS. THE CAA
NU currently sits in a tie for second place with three points in the CAA standings. The Huskies are tied for third in the conference in total assists (14) and total goals (18), and rank second in total saves (71). Northeastern is the only CAA team that has played two nationally ranked opponents this season (UConn and Texas Tech).

JUNIORS LEAD THE WAY
Northeastern's three true juniors, Kayla Cappuzzo (three goals, four assists), Hannah Lopiccolo (three goals, two assists) and Carly Wilhelm (one goal, two assists), have all made it onto the board this season. The Huskies have tallied 16 total points in their last four games, including an 11-point contribution by the junior class.

HUSKIES STAY HUNGRY
The Huskies have yet to lose two games in a row this season, proving their resilience each week with a 4-0-1 record following a loss. Those bounce-back games include a 4-0 trouncing of Holy Cross, a 2-0 shutout of Boston University and a 1-0 overtime victory over Drexel.

UNDER PRESSURE
Northeastern has played more overtime games than any of its CAA counterparts this season, holding a 2-2-1 mark in games that go into extra time. Sophomore Hannah Rosenblatt fired home the game-winning goal in each of the Huskies' overtime wins (Providence and Drexel).

CONSISTENCY IS KEY
Kayla Cappuzzo has started in every Northeastern game since first suiting up as a freshman in 2014. Her 55 straight starts mark the longest streak for any active Northeastern player. Mackenzie Dowd and Carina Deandreis have started the most games overall with 67 career starts each.

NIDETCH SHINES IN GOAL
Sophomore goalkeeper Nathalie Nidetch has played nearly every minute of the team's 12 games. Her 68 total saves rank 10th in the NCAA and her 5.67 saves-per-game average ranks 49th. She has earned a 1.15 goals against average, as well as a save percentage of 0.829. She made a career-high 10 saves against UConn on Aug. 19.
