PHILADELPHIA – Emily Gingrich scored two goals off corner kicks, including the game-winner with 8:29 remaining, to give St. Joseph's (4-1-0) a 2-1 win over the Northeastern women's soccer team (2-3-1) on Sunday afternoon at Sweeney Field.

• St. Joseph's took the lead just 1:18 into the match when Paige Bergman played a corner kick through the box to Gingrich for a first-time finish to make it 1-0. The strike made Gingrich the all-time leading scorer in SJU history with 34 career goals.Â
• Northeastern tied the match at 1-1 in the 27th minute when Cappuzzo sent in a cross from the right wing to Koemans, who was able to flick a header inside the far post for her first goal of the season.
• Gingrich added to her program-record scoring haul with the deciding goal in the 82nd minute. On what looked to be a carbon copy of her first goal, Gingrich was able to find the ball in the box following a corner kick, and touch it inside the right post to make it 2-1 Hawks.

• Northeastern conceded the first goal for the fifth time in six games this season.
• The Huskies held a 13-9 edge in shots.
• NU held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks, however SJU took advantage with two goals on three of its attempts from the corner flag.Â
• Cappuzzo earned her ninth career assist, which brings her into a tie for seventh all-time at NU with Amy Devendorf (1998-01).Â
