ORONO, Maine – Senior
Hayley Scamurra notched her 100th career point on Friday, but the Northeastern women's hockey team (13-8-3, 9-6-2 WHEA) was unable to overcome a 35-save performance from Carly Jackson in a 3-1 Maine (7-14-1, 3-10-1 WHEA) victory at Alfond Arena.
Jackson blanked the Huskies for nearly 59 minutes before freshman
Matti Hartman lit the lamp with a power-play goal, assisted by Scamurra, at 18:47 of the final frame.Â
The Huskies held the Black Bears to just seven total shots over the final two periods, but two first-period power-play goals were enough to give the hosts the win.
