THANK YOU, SENIORS
Â
Northeastern saluted its five seniors –

Ackim Mpofu,
Charlton Muhlauri, and
Jonathan Thuresson – prior to kickoff of the Huskies' Oct. 21 match against James Madison. Together, the members of Northeastern's 2017 senior class have combined to make more than 250 appearances with the program, factoring in on 17 distinct goals and 13 clean sheets (11 recorded by Thuresson) during the past four seasons.
Â
CONFERENCE FOES OF OLD
Â
Northeastern will be opposing Vermont for the first time since the Huskies' departure from the America East at the conclusion of the 2004-05 athletic season. The two programs' last regular-season meeting took place on Sept. 25, 2004, when a pair of second half goals by Julian Daniels (47th minute) and Michael Cipriano (85th) lifted NU to the 2-0 victory against the Catamounts at Parsons Field. More recently, the two sides met during the 2016 preseason at Vermont's Virtue Field.
Â
ALL-TIME AGAINST VERMONT
Â
The Huskies trail the all-time series against the Catamounts, 13-6-1. However, Northeastern has won three straight home matches against Vermont, including twice during the 2002 season, when the Huskies won both the America East regular-season and postseason championships.
Â
MORRISSETTE COLLECTS FIRST POINT
Â
Northeastern freshman back
Dante Morrissette became the newest addition to the Huskies' first-year point sheet, registering his first college point (assist) on Oct. 21 against James Madison. Morrissette intercepted a JMU clearance during the closing minutes of the first half before making a run up the left flank and crossing to the top of Northeastern's six-yard box, where
Khori Bennett provided the finishing touches on the team's equalizing goal. The six-foot native of Ajax, Ontario, enters the final week of the 2017 season leading the Huskies' outfield players in minutes played (1,272), having started 15 of the squad's 16 matches.
Â
BENNETT JOINS THREE-POINT CROWD
Â
Khori Bennett's goal against James Madison on Oct. 21 moved the junior forward into a three-way tie with teammates
Moustapha Samb and
Dan Munch for fourth place on Northeastern's 2017 points card.
Harry Swartz continues to lead the way for the Huskies with seven points (three goals, one assist), while
Martin Nygaard and
Lewis Aird share second place courtesy of their two goals and four assists, respectively.
Adama Kaba (goal),
Alec Supinski (goal), and
Dante Morrissette also appear on the Huskies' 2017 point sheet.
Â
MINDING THE NET

Thuresson enters the final week of the regular season with a .717 save percentage and ranks among the top 20 Division I goalkeepers in both total saves (71, 12th) and saves per game (4.73, 20th).
