BOSTON – Winners of three straight games, the No. 7/7 Northeastern women's hockey team (5-3-1, 3-0-0 WHEA) will look to continue its hot play this weekend when it takes on Hockey East rival Providence (4-2-2, 1-0-0 WHEA) for a home-and-home series beginning Saturday at Schneider Arena at 2 p.m.

INSIDE THE MATCHUP
• The Huskies have won 10 straight contests against the Friars dating back to PC's last win on Nov. 15, 2014.

• Northeastern won three close games against Providence last season, claiming a 5-3 triumph at Schneider Arena and a pair of one-goal wins (2-1 and 4-3) at Matthews Arena. Lauren Kelly scored the overtime winner for NU in the teams' most recent meeting on Feb. 3, 2017.

• Senior Denisa Krizova is Northeastern's active leading scorer against Providence with 18 points (eight goals, 10 assists) in 10 career games against the Friars.

• Junior goaltender Brittany Bugalski is 5-0-0 with a 1.40 GAA and a .943 save percentage in her career against PC, including one shutout.

LAST TIME OUT
• Senior Denisa Krizova and junior Kasidy Anderson each scored two goals to lift the Huskies to a 4-1 win over New Hampshire on Wednesday at Matthews Arena.

• With her two goals, Krizova moved into eighth place on Northeastern's all-time scoring chart with 147 career points. Krizova needs two more points to pass Carolyn Sullivan (1980-84) for seventh place in the record book.

• Anderson notched her fourth collegiate two-goal game, and third multi-point performance of the season.

• The NU power-play went 2-for-2 against UNH and has now converted on eight of its last 12 opportunities (66.6 percent) over the past three games. The Huskies' 10 power-play goals this year (10-for-36) are tied for the national lead with Wisconsin (10-for-40).

• Freshman Skylar Fontaine notched her first collegiate two-point effort with a pair of assists, while classmate Veronika Pettey extended her point streak to four straight games with an assist.

• Junior Brittany Bugalski allowed one goal for the third straight game, turning aside 32 of 33 UNH shots. Over that span, Bugalski has stopped 79 of 82 shots, good for a .963 save percentage.

• With Wednesday's win, Bugalski now owns 46 career victories in a Northeastern uniform. With two more wins, Bugalski will pass Kelly Dyer (1985-89) for fifth place on the all-time wins list at Northeastern.

HUSKIES RANKED FOR 6TH STRAIGHT WEEK
After securing a weekend sweep over Syracuse, the Huskies jumped up two spots to No. 7 in both national polls this week. Northeastern has been ranked in the top-10 in all six weeks this season, rising as high as No. 6/5 on Oct. 9-10.

MAKING THEM COUNT
Sophomore forward Matti Hartman has scored two goals so far this season, both of which have been game-winners. Hartman netted the overtime winner in a 3-2 win at Boston University on Oct. 6, and also potted the decisive goal in a 5-1 win at Syracuse on Oct. 21. Hartman's two game-winning goals are tied for the lead among all Hockey East players.

BLOCK PARTY
Sophomore defensemen Codie Cross and Paige Capistran rank among the Hockey East leaders in blocked shots this season. Cross ranks second among WHEA players with 18 blocks, while Capistran ranks sixth with 16 blocks.

LENDING A HELPING HAND
Senior forward Denisa Krizova enters the weekend with 92 assists in 113 career games. Krizova needs four more helpers to jump Hilary Witt for fourth place all-time in the NU record books.

FRESHMEN PHENOMS
Two Northeastern rookies rank among the Hockey East leaders in freshmen scoring early in the season. Forward Veronika Pettey ranks second in the league among rookie scorers with eight points (4-5-9) in nine games, while defenseman Brooke Hobson ranks fourth with five points (1-4-5) in nine games. Hobson is the only freshman defenseman in the league with at least five points on the year.
