NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Freshman Aerin Frankel stopped a career-high 32 shots to help the Northeastern women's hockey team (6-6-2, 4-3-1 WHEA) to a 1-1 tie against Merrimack (4-8-3, 1-4-2 WHEA) on Saturday afternoon at Lawler Rink.

Taytum Clairmont scored for the second straight game to give NU the lead in the second period, but Merrimack's Mikyla Grant-Mentis evened the scoreline early in the third to round out the scoring.
The Huskies held a 34-33 advantage in shots, including a 6-3 edge in overtime, and killed off all five Merrimack power-plays.
Goal Recaps
• Clairmont opened the scoring for the second straight game following a brilliant individual effort. After causing a turnover in the Merrimack zone, Clairmont chipped the puck past a defender, then had her initial shot stopped, before roofing the rebound chance from the low slot at 7:37 of the second period.
• Merrimack tied the score at 1-1 with 14:31 remaining in the third period when Mikyla Grant-Mentis shoveled a rebound past Frankel following a big save on Katelyn Rae in front.
