PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Huskies finished the first day of the Frank Elm Invitational in third place with 389 points, behind Navy with 497 points and Rutgers with 394. The first session was highlighted by two new program records in the 50 freestyle and the 200 freestyle relay, while 13 different Huskies posted season highs.
Megan Clark broke the school record for the 50 freestyle during the morning prelims, with a time of 22.73. Clark broke her own record of 23.06 from the 2016 Frank Elm Invitational. The sophomore then went on to take first place in the 50 freestyle later that night, earning 32 points for the Huskies.
The Huskies took fourth place in the 200 freestyle relay with a new school record time of 1:33.33, earning 52 points. This time broke the 1:33.64 record time from the 2014 Frank Elm Invitational.
Carly Schnabel also posted 32 points for the Red and Black, taking a first place finish in the 500 freestyle with a season-high time of 4:54.73.
Joanna Wojciechowska finished fifth in the 500 freestyle and
Sarah Schlesinger took sixth place.
Matilda Weiler finished in ninth place in the 200 individual medley with a season-high time of 2:03.29. Northeastern took second place in the 400 medley relay, earning 56 points with a time of 3:42.44.
On the diving side,
Alyssa Seales finished in 10th place in the one-meter with a score of 256.90.
