PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Northeastern finished fourth overall out of 14 teams with 1,160.5 points at Frank Elm Invitational. The final day of the meet was highlighted by two more record times and 15 Huskies season-highs in the finals on Saturday night.
The Red and Black finished up the relays with a new program record in the 400 freestyle relay and a fourth place finish, breaking the record from the 2015 Colonial Athletic Association Championship.
Megan Clark closed out the meet with new school record and a first-place finish. The sophomore set a new 100 freestyle program record in the preliminaries with a time of 49.70, breaking her own record from the 2017 CAA Championship.
Clark then went on to take a first place in the 100 freestyle finals with a time of 49.51, breaking her record time from earlier in the day. The Virginia native was also a member of the record-breaking 400 relay team.
Sarah Schlesinger took fourth place in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:57.90, a collegiate best for the sophomore.
Carly Schnabel and
Emma Metzger also both finished in the top-10 in the 1650 freestyle, with times of 17:0059 and 17:08.45, respectively. Schnabel was also apart of the 400 relay team.
Tori Austin took sixth place in the 200 breaststroke, while
Cloe Bedard-Khalid finished in 10th place in the 200 butterfly. Both were season highs for the two freshman.
Sabrina Chan competed in the platform diving, finishing with a score of 147.20.
The Huskies finished the three-day meet with five broken school records, 23 athletes advancing to finals and 23 new season highs.
