BOSTON – Turning towards the second leg of the CAA season, the Northeastern women's basketball team will begin a stretch with four of its next five games at Cabot Center on Friday, Feb. 3, when NU hosts William & Mary at 7 p.m. Earlier this year, the Huskies were narrowly defeated by the Tribe, 60-58, in Williamsburg, Virginia, on Marlena Tremba's game-winning jumper with 21 seconds remaining in regulation.
LOVE EMPOWERS
Â
Recently, CAA.tv featured Northeastern during its In Focus video series to learn more about the meaning behind the Huskies' Love Empowers warm-up shirts.
Francesca Sally,
Gabby Giacone, and
Kelly Cole provided the message behind the team's collective response to the political unease sweeping society, reminding everyone that it is love, not hate, that empowers.

HUSKIES AT HOME
Â
Dating back to the 2015-16 season, Northeastern has won three straight games in which it was kicking off a multi-game home stand, including a 2-0 mark this year. Overall, the Huskies are 4-4 at Cabot Center and 2-2 during conference play. NU has also won six of its last seven home games against William & Mary, with its lone loss coming in double overtime on Feb. 1, 2015.
Â
TRIBE ON THE ROAD
Â
William & Mary is one of three teams in the CAA this year that have earned six or more victories in true road games (Elon, James Madison). The Tribe enter Friday's contest with a 6-2 overall record as the visiting team and a 2-2 mark during conference action, but have lost two of their last three road games against College of Charleston* (L, 60-70) and Towson (L, 60-64).
Â
* The CAA announced on Feb. 2 that this result, as well as College of Charleston's victory against UNCW on Jan. 8, would be reversed when determining seeding for the conference tournament, due to the use of improper basketballs.
