DURHAM, N.H. -- The Northeastern women's soccer team (6-4-0) engaged in a defensive battle against New Hampshire (6-3-0), but fell 1-0 on a late Wildcat goal.
The match was a stalemate for 80 minutes before the Wildcats broke through with the eventual game-winning goal.

Kayla Cappuzzo had three shots on goal for the Huskies while sophomore
Emily Evangelista and freshman
Chelsea Domond each sent two shots on net. Northeastern earned a 9-4 edge in shots on target, but couldn't find the back of the net. Â

Nathalie Nidetch made three saves to keep the Wildcats off the board for 80 minutes before the ball finally got by her.
New Hampshire senior Brooke Murphy scored the lone goal in the match in the 81st minute. The goal broke the record for most goals in UNH program history (39).

- Off a free kick, the Wildcats sent the ball into the NU box. The ball bounced off bodies in front and came out to Murphy at the right post. She tucked her shot in amidst the chaos in front of the goal to give the Wildcats the edge.
The Huskies end the 2017 nonconference schedule with a 6-4-0 overall record. The CAA slate begins for Northeastern on Thursday at Drexel at 6 p.m.
