Northeastern finish 18th and 22nd at Battle in Beantown

BOSTON
 – The men's and women's cross country teams finished in 18th and 22nd place respectively at the Coast to Coast Battle in Beantown on Friday.
 
The men averaged a time of 26:25 in the 8k totaling 532 points. Senior James Garbrier (26:11) led the Red and Black, while freshman Steve Flanagan (26:19) and Ty Miller (26:21) were close behind. Garbrier averaged 5:16 while Flanagan and Miller averaged 5:18.
 
On the women's side, the team averaged an 19:29 5k run and posted 672 points. Leadsers for the Huskies included sophomore Amanda Hickey (19:19), junior Amy Piccolo (19:21) and freshman Louise Holway (19:31).

Next Up
The Huskies will compete in the Panorama Farms Invitational hosted by the University of Virginia at Panorama Farms on Saturday. The men's race will begin at 9 a.m. with the women's race following at 10 a.m.
