BOSTON -- It's a Beanpot championship game rematch for the No. 13 Northeastern men's hockey team, which hosts crosstown rival Boston University on Thursday night at Matthews Arena. Northeastern swept the season series with BU last season, 3-0-0. A win would give them four straight wins against the Terriers for the first time since 1989. The game will be televised on NESN.

Northeastern to unveil Adam Gaudette's Hobey Baker banner on Thursday
Prior to Thursday night's game, Northeastern will honor one of the greatest players in program history during a pregame ceremony recognizing Adam Gaudette's historic Hobey Baker Award winning season in 2018.

Gaudette, currently playing with the NHL's Vancouver Canucks, will unfortunately not be in attendance, but several members of the Gaudette family will participate in the ceremony prior to puck drop.

In addition, the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive an Adam Gaudette puck commemorating his historic 2017-18 season. Tickets to the game are available by visiting tickets.GoNU.com, and students can obtain free tickets through their myNortheastern account.

Introducing the Howlin' Huskies Cam!
Northeastern is excited to announce the debut of the Howlin' Huskies Cam for Thursday's game against the Terriers. With the Howlin' Huskies Cam, fans will now have the chance to capture their memories at Matthews Arena utilizing fan-controlled cameras to take game-day photos from their seats at one of the world's most iconic sports venues, making the Huskies the first NCAA school to provide this innovative experience to their fans.

To take the photo, fans can visit HowlinHuskiesCam.com, tap in their seat number into a mobile web page, a robotic camera pivots to find them, where fans can see themselves on their phone. They then have 30 seconds to pinch and zoom to get everyone in the shot. A branded overlay is added to the photo, and can be shared on the fan's social media.

Mustaches for MacLeod
During the month of November, members of the Northeastern hockey program will be growing mustaches in support of former player Wade MacLeod, who is currently battling brain cancer. MacLeod has a Grade 3 Glioblastoma tumor, and recently had his fourth surgery in the last five years.

Donations in support of MacLeod and his family can be made through the family's GoFundMe page by visiting NUHuskies.com/Wade

All-time series with Boston University
While the Terriers hold the upper hand in the all-time series with Northeastern, it's been the Huskies with the edge in recent years. NU swept the season series last year, 3-0-0, and is looking to win four straight against BU for the first time since 1989.

Depth up front
With Big Three of Adam Gaudette, Dylan Sikura and Nolan Stevens gone, the big question entering the season was "who is going to score for Northeastern?" The Huskies answered that question early in the year: everyone.

After the first month of the season, there's a five-way tie for the scoring lead with six points (Jozefek, Pecararo, Davies, Picking, Griffin), closely followed by another five players with four points. Northeastern has 13 different goal scorers through six games, the most for the team since 2013-14 and tied for the second most in the NCAA. Madden, meanwhile, is the first Northeastern rookie since Scott Selig (2000) to start his career with goals in three straight games, and is one of two players in the NCAA with goals in his first three games.

Primeau collects weekly honors (again)
After going 2-0-0 with a 1.50 goals against average and .932 save percentage, including a 25-save effort in a 3-2 victory over No. 2 St. Cloud State, Cayden Primeau was named the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks.

The Voorhees, N.J. native backstopped the Huskies to a big weekend that began with a road contest at UMass Lowell on Friday night. There, Primeau steered aside 16 of 17 shots in a 4-1 victory to give Northeastern a win in its conference opener for the second straight season.

The Huskies carried that momentum into Saturday's game against the second ranked team in the nation, where Primeau was immense yet again. In front of a raucous crowd of 3,835, Primeau and the Huskies erased a 2-0 deficit to come back and top SCSU, 3-2. Primeau made 25 saves, including 12 in the third period to preserve the lead, to earn the second star of the game.

Down, but never out
Last Saturday's victory against St. Cloud State marked already the second time this season that Northeastern has trailed entering the third period and came back to win the game (Oct. 12 at Sacred Heart). Northeastern hasn't won more than two games when trailing after two periods since 2013-14, when the Huskies went 3-9-1 when behind after 40 minutes of play.
