BOSTON – Compiling another balanced effort, the Northeastern women's basketball team breezed by New Hampshire, 69-54, on Wednesday afternoon at Cabot Center, achieving the program's best start to the regular season since its 1982-83 campaign.

With 11 players scoring for the second time during the Huskies' first four games, Northeastern (4-0) countered its slow start by steadily wearing down the Wildcats, taking a 15-point lead into halftime (42-27) before leading by as many as 23 points midway through the fourth quarter (67-44).

Jess Genco and Shannon Todd paced the Huskies with 15 and 11 points, respectively. Genco shot six-for-10 from the floor while Todd remained perfect during each of her five field goal attempts, finishing her scoring in double figures for the third consecutive game.

Freshman forward Alexis Hill registered a season and career high, nine points, to lead Northeastern's reserves. Stella Clark contributed four points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Huskies' bench, which outscored the UNH bench, 32-11.

New Hampshire (0-5) responded to Todd's opening-tip layup with nine unanswered points, causing Northeastern to burn its first timeout less than three minutes into the contest. However, the Huskies rallied by hitting 12 of their next 15 field goal attempts, staging a 27-9 scoring run to establish the 29-18 lead with 5:59 remaining in the second quarter.

NU sported a +20 rebounding advantage on Wednesday, 41-21. Ayanna Dublin brought down eight boards for the Huskies, trailing Clark for the team lead.
