BOSTON –
Marc Rienas paced the Huskies, as the men competed at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Saturday. The New Jersey native took fifth place in the 800 meter with a time of 1:48.60, a new indoor-personal best.
His time is the second-best in Northeastern indoor history.
Dametrius O'Connor finished 18th in the 200 meter, posting a time of 21.84 at Boston University. The freshman moved into eighth in indoor program history.
Ryan Kim and
Eric Mellusi finished first and second in the shot put, while Mellusi also secured third in the weight throw.
Connor Fugere and
Giovanni Gray both posted personal-best marks in the weight throw, Fugere with a mark of 17.82 meters and Gray with a mark of 16.45 meters.
The Huskies' relay,
Quinn Litherland,
Austin Lin, O'Connor and
David Adams, nabbed sixth place with a time of 3:15.28, the 12
th best time in indoor program history.
Cameron Dickson and
Ty Miller both posted personal-best times in the 3000 meter, while
Mark Puglia and
Chase Hyland earned a personal-record time in the 60 meter hurdles and mile, respectively.
Up Next for Northeastern:
The Huskies will head to South Bend Indiana for the Alex Wilson Invite on February 16.
