BOSTON – The Northeastern men's basketball team returns to the home confines of Matthews Arena riding a three-game win-streak that saw a pair of road victories last week.
The Huskies are home for three-straight to close out the regular season beginning on Thursday night at 7 p.m. against Drexel on Light Up Matthews Night.
Northeastern picked up its 10th conference victory of the season in a win over Towson, marking the fifth time in the
Bill Coen era that the Huskies have earned double-digit conference wins.
In the game,
Vasa Pusica finished with yet another 20-point effort, his 11th of the season and third straight, while
Devon Begley added 14 points, eight rebounds and three steals.
NOTABLES
• This is the 98th season of Northeastern men's basketball
• Northeastern earned win #1200 last Thursday and has an all-time record of 1,201-1,100 (.522) in 2,301 games
• The Huskies are 386-257 (.600) all-time in conference play including a 128-87 (.595) record since joining the CAA in the 2005-06 season
• Northeastern amassed 12 regular season conference championships and eight tournament titles including a 2015 CAA title which sent NU to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 24 years

SCOUTING THE DRAGONS
• Drexel is now 11-16 on the season and 5-9 in CAA play and are on a two-game losing streak heading into their game with NU on Thursday
• The Dragons are 2-10 on the road this season, including a 1-6 mark in conference play
• The team's lone conference road win came at William & Mary, a 91-79 victory
LEADING THE WAY
• Drexel is led by Missouri transfer Tramaine Isabell who is averaging 19.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game
• Also netting double figures are four more Dragons including Kurk Lee (13.1, 3.4 apg), Alihan Demir (11.6), Sammy Mojica (11.1) and Troy Harper (10.3)
• Austin Williams is leading the way with 8.3 rebounds per game while adding 9.7 ppg
ALL-TIME SERIES
• This will be the 63rd meeting between the two teams with Drexel holding the edge 39-23
• However, the Huskies have won five of the last six contests and 9 of the last 12
LAST TIME VS. DREXEL
• The game came down to the final seconds, as Drexel was able to come away with a 68-67 win, its first over the NU since the 2014-15 season

Vasa Pusica finished with 20 points and seven assists,
Tomas Murphy added 16 and six rebounds &
Shawn Occeus finished with seven and a career-high tying five steals but it wasn't enough as the team was held scoreless in the final 1:52 of the game
• The game winning free throw was made by Tramaine Isabell with 1.6 seconds left

Bolden Brace went for a rebound of an Isabell free throw miss, ultimately getting tied up with Isabell (21 points, seven rebounds, four assists) on a 50-50 play where the Husky sophomore was called for the foul
• Isabell made 1-of-2 free throws in three-straight trips to the line as he helped Drexel to the win.
• After an errant buzzer call following Isabell's miss, the Huskies had .7 seconds to try and win it. Brace sent a pass right to Pusica, who threw up a three with Isabell all over him, but it didn't connect
THE LAST TIME OUT
• The Huskies started the weekend off with a Thursday night victory at Delaware the 1200th in program history
• The game came down to the final possession and after a Ryan Allen three rattled out,
Anthony Green helped bring down the rebound and
Vasa Pusica was fouled immedately as he went down to the other end and sank a pair of free throws to make it a three-point game
• On the inbound, with 1.2 seconds left,
Jeremy Miller altered a pass that
Bolden Brace was able to knock away, into a Delaware player, and out of bounds to seal the win
• The two teams went back-and-forth all night in a game that saw nine ties and 12 lead changes

Vasa Pusica finished with 27 points on the night, his 10th 20-point effort of the season and third 25+ point game
• The Huskies continued their winning ways at Towson on Saturday afternoon
• Behind Pusica's third-straight 20-point game, the Huskies picked up their third-straight win, and their largest win in Towson since the 2009-10 season with a 77-62 victory

Bolden Brace had 10 points, two blocks and a pair of clutch threes in the win
• The Tigers made it interesting early in the second half, but the Huskies used a 10-0 run, capped by a Pusica three to solidify the victory
