CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – Northeastern added four more medals on Friday at the 2018 Colonial Athletic Association Championships. The Huskies are in fourth place with 336 points after the third day of competition.

Megan Clark claimed the CAA title in the 200 freestyle, her second gold of the CAA Championship. The sophomore is the first Husky in program history to win two CAA gold medals. Clark is also just the third women in championship history to win both the 50 and 200 freestyle events at the same title meet.

In the preliminaries, the sophomore posted a time of 1:47.36, breaking her own school record from earlier this season. She then upped that record by swimming a 1:47.20 in the finals.

Sara Touchette-McGowan defended her 2017 CAA title in the 100 butterfly. The senior won gold with a time of the 54.30.

Freshman
Klara Juliusson set a new program record in the 100 breaststroke on her way to a bronze medal. The Sweden native broke the school record from the 2015 CAA Championship in the prelims with a time of 1:01.94.

Juliusson went on to secure third place in the finals with a time of 1:01.96.

The Huskies captured the CAA title in the 400 medley relay. The relay team of
Christine Leong, Juliusson, Touchette-McGowan and Clark earned the first gold in the event since 2008.

Northeastern posted a program-best time of 3:40.26 in the event.Â
