BOSTON – Staring down its final three games of the 2017-18 regular season, the Northeastern women's basketball team will depart Cabot Center and head for Hofstra on Friday, Feb. 23, when the Huskies will play their first of two remaining matchups against the Pride at 7 p.m.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Â
Northeastern bookended its 2016-17 CAA schedule with a pair of low-scoring victories against Hofstra to tip the all-time series back in its favor at 21-20. On Jan. 2, 2017, in Hempstead, the Huskies and the Pride were tied at 43-43 heading into overtime, where NU survived Hofstra, 53-51, during the extra period. Seventeen conference games later at Cabot Center, Northeastern and Hofstra were tied at 40-40 with 4:31 remaining in regulation, but the Huskies successfully closed the door en route to earning the 52-46, Senior Day victory. NU has won three straight games against the Pride dating back to the sixth-seeded Huskies' 65-54 upset of third-seeded Hofstra during the 2016 CAA quarterfinals.
Â
CAA STANDINGS
Â
Northeastern (8-7 CAA) will enter Friday in sole possession of fifth place in the CAA standings, leading sixth-place William & Mary (7-8) by a game, while trailing fourth-place Delaware (9-5) by two losses. The Huskies can clinch a berth in the league quarterfinals for the third consecutive season by winning one of their final three regular-season games – two of which will take place against Hofstra. NU can claim as high as the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament (the Huskies would lose two- and three-way tiebreakers for third place involving Elon) and as low as the No. 7 seed.
