THREE THINGS TO KNOW
Â
1. LAST TIME OUT: Northeastern fell to Hampton 77-71 on Sunday in the penultimate regular-season home contest with the Lady Pirates, despite a career-high 24 points from junior forward
Justice Tramble. Tramble was dominant inside, going 7-of-13 from the field and 10-of-14 from the free throw line while adding four rebounds. Sophomore guard
Camryn Collins added 12 points and a team-high seven rebounds, and junior guard Yirsy Quéliz chipped in 11 points and five rebounds. Graduate guard
Nariyah Simmons contributed 11 points off the bench on 3-of-4 shooting, including a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.Â
Â
2. SCOUTING THE PRIDE: Hofstra enters Friday's contest at 7-21 overall and 5-12 in CAA play after a 70-56 loss to Drexel on Thursday in Hempstead. The Pride was picked ninth in the CAA Preseason Poll and has struggled for consistency this season, though it did pick up a 45-44 road win at Monmouth last weekend behind a pair of clutch late three-pointers from senior guard Emma Von Essen. Von Essen, a Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention selection, eclipsed 1,000 career points in December against St. John's and leads the CAA with 2.7 three-pointers per game. Senior guard Chloe Sterling earned Preseason All-CAA Second Team honors, while senior forward Sandra Magolico has emerged as one of the conference's top rebounders. Northeastern won the first meeting between the teams this season, 62-60, at Hofstra on Jan. 18 behind 13 points from Tramble. The Pride leads the all-time series 7-3 over the last 10 meetings, including a 69-53 victory over the Huskies in last year's CAA Tournament quarterfinals.

3. SENIOR DAY: Saturday's regular-season finale will double as Senior Day for the Huskies, as Northeastern honors its departing class before tip-off. Graduate student guard
Nariyah Simmons has been a steadying presence in the backcourt all season long, bringing veteran experience from Kansas City and Austin Peay to Huntington Avenue. Simmons has tallied 152 points, 86 rebounds and a team-high 50 assists and 46 steals across 27 games this season, leading the Huskies in both categories. She posted a season-high seven assists in the overtime thriller against N.C. A&T in January and has reached double figures in scoring five times, including 16 points at Boston College and 14 at Yale. Redshirt senior
Natalie Larrañaga, a member of the Guatemala Senior National Team since 2018, made her mark in the 2024-25 season with 188 points, 73 rebounds and 37 assists across 26 games, including 16 three-pointers. The Guatemala City native earned Conference First-Team honors and Defensive Player of the Year accolades at Florida National before transferring to Northeastern.
