BOSTON – Husky senior
Audrey Weyand was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 1 track/cross country team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced on Tuesday.

On the track, Weyand has had an outstanding career in Red and Black. The Maine native lead the Huskies women's team to their first Colonial Athletic Association title since 2011 and their third straight New England Outdoor Championships.

At the CAA Championships, Weyand was a member of the gold medal winning 4x400m relay team and took the silver medal in the 400mH.

She finished second in the 400 meter hurdles at the New England Outdoor Championships with a time of 59.87. The senior's time was the second-best time in program history, surpassing interim head coach,
Tramaine Shaw's time from 2008 by 0.01 seconds.

She earned five top-five finishes in the indoor season, including a fourth-place finish at the 2018 Indoor New England Championships. Weyand also took sixth place in the 500m with the second-best time in program history and was a member of the fourth-place 4x400 relay team at ECAC Indoor Championships.

In the classroom, Weyand is Speech Language Pathology with a 3.98 GPA. She will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, with first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees to be announced in June.
