DURHAM, N.H. – The Northeastern field hockey team held Boston University scoreless in the second half, but the Huskies fell 4-1 to the Terriers Friday afternoon to open up the 2018 season.
The Huskies got behind by four goals at the half, but rebounded in the second half when
Shawn Davenport notched her first career goal in the 51st minute of action.
Camille O'Conor started the play off coming deep down the left side before centering the ball. She sent a pass to Davenport who was waiting in close range out front and redirected the shot high into the net.
The Huskies are back in action on Sunday afternoon in the consolation game where they will face Massachusetts, for the first time this season, at 11 a.m.
