BOSTON – Led by its red-hot freshman striker,

SERIES HISTORY
Â
• Old America East foes collide on Friday as Northeastern descends on Vermont, returning the series' 2017, penalty-laden affair at Parsons Field that was won by the Huskies, 3-2, during overtime (
Khori Bennett: 100' – PK).
Â
• NU has won four of the last five series meetings against the Catamounts, of which only one (2017) has taken place since the Huskies' departure for the CAA in 2005.
Â
• Northeastern's lone America East title (2002) was attained at the expense of Vermont. The Huskies defeated the Catamounts, 2-1, on Nov. 17 at Parsons Field to secure the program's first-ever NCAA tournament berth. NU proceeded to defeat Lehigh, 1-1 (7-6 on penalty kicks), during the first round of the NCAA tourney before exiting during the second round courtesy of its 2-1 defeat to Boston College.
WHAT 2 WATCH 4

• Freshman forward
Ryan Massoud monopolized Northeastern's goal scoring during the season's opening weekend, accounting for each of the Huskies' three field goals. On Aug. 24, Massoud netted two goals – the first of his collegiate career – during 18 reserve minutes against Niagara. Three days later, the Ontario native delivered the equalizing goal (80') against LIU Brooklyn, logging 49 reserve minutes.
Â

Â
•
Noah Abrams recorded his first clean sheet during Northeastern's 3-0, season-opening win against Niagara (third career start). Abrams boasts a 1.18 career goals against average during 434 goalkeeping minutes (six appearances, four starts).
Â
• The Huskies are outpacing their opponents in shot attempts at a 2:1 ratio this year. The Huskies' 16 shots on target through two matches equate to the highest season-opening, two-match total that NU has recorded this decade.
Â
• Northeastern has yet to concede a first half goal this season. The Huskies had allowed 15 first half goals during 2017.
