BOSTON – Led by Jess Genco's career-high, 32-point performance, the Northeastern women's basketball team posted its first victory in Matthews Arena during nearly a decade on Sunday as the Huskies breezed by Delaware, 75-62, improving their CAA mark to 3-3.

Genco was electric during the first half, where she scored 25 of her 32 points and drained seven of her first eight 3-point attempts. Despite being held to one field goal after halftime, the NU point guard ended the day shooting nine-for-12 from the floor – including seven-for-10 behind the arc – while converting each of her seven free throw attempts.

Trailing, 18-12, near the end of the first quarter, Northeastern (13-4, 3-3 CAA) turned things around quickly, rattling off seven unanswered points to slide in front, 19-18, at the final horn. The Huskies continued their offensive success into the second quarter, where Genco offloaded five 3-point jumpers to help NU carry the 44-35 lead into the locker room.

Northeastern led for the duration of the second half with Delaware (6-11, 1-4 CAA) creeping as close as seven points (65-58) with 8:12 remaining in regulation.

Gabby Giacone took care of the interior work for the Huskies, registering 12 points, eight rebounds, two assists and a steal. Stella Clark crafted 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists, while Katie May recorded five of Northeastern's season high, 11 steals.

Bailey Kargo hit four of the Blue Hens' six 3-pointers en route to pacing her squad in scoring with 18 points. Jasmine Dickey matched 10 points with 10 rebounds, also logging three blocks and two steals.
