BOSTON– With a four-game win-streak in hand, the Northeastern men's basketball team is headed back out on the road for a two game road swing that will begin Thursday night at Towson.
The squad will take on the Tigers in the CBS College Sports Live Game of the Week at 7 p.m. at SECU Arena.
The Huskies are coming off of an 88-71 thrashing of UNCW on Saturday afternoon, the fourth-straight victory for the Huskies, which wrapped up a 2-0 conference week for the second-straight weekend.
Here is what you need to know about Thursday's game:
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- Huskies vs. Tigers
- Towson enters Thursday's game with the Huskies coming off of a 1-1 weekend that saw the Tigers snap a six-game losing skid with a 64-63 victory at Delaware on Saturday
- The Tigers are 2-4 at home this season and have yet to win a conference home game
- Towson is 2-5 in conference play this year, which ranks in a tie for last in the conference with James Madison and Elon
LEADING THE WAY
- The Tigers are led by Brian Fobbs who has played and started in all 20 games on the year and is averaging 16.0 ppg and 5.8 rpg
- Fobbs is the lone double-digit scorer this season for the Tigers though Tobias Howard is averaging 9.9 ppg
- Howard also leads the team with 57 assists this year as well as 14 steals
ALL-TIME SERIES
- This will be the 29th meeting between the two teams with the Huskies holding the series lead 23-15
- Northeastern is picked up its first regular season sweep of Towson since the 2014-15 season last year taking both of the games from the Tigers, within a 12-day span winning the first 77-62 at Towson and wrapping up the home season with an 80-75 victory at Matthews Arena

- For the first time this season, the Huskies picked up a CAA Weekly honor after Vasa Pusica finished last week with a 21.0 ppg, 3.0 apg, 2.5 rpg line
- The honor was the second of Pusica's Northeastern career and first since Jan. 2, 2018
- In both of the games this weekend, a 69-60 win over Charleston and 88-71 win over UNCW, Pusica finished with 21 points and over the two games, he shot 70.0 percent from the field and a perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line
- Northeastern in CAA Play
- 13 years ago, Bill Coen took the reins of the Northeastern men's basketball program
- In that time, Northeastern has accomplished the best win percentage amongst current CAA teams in conference and CAA tournament play
- Coen has helped the Huskies to 128 conference wins during the regular season including a 14-4 record last season that helped the Huskies to a share of the 2018 Regular Season Title
- In the CAA tournament, the Huskies are 12-9, winning the tournament title in 2014-15 and advancing to the NCAA tournament for the first time since the 1991 season
- Entering the 2016-17 season, Charleston was ranked last in the CAA in win percentage (32.14) but improved into second last year with their 14-4 conference season and trio of wins in the conference tournament
- After going 6-12 in conference action last year, Elon dropped to the bottom of the league in win pct. in their four years since joining the CAA
