WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Northeastern women's hockey alumna Linda Lundrigan '94 will be inducted into the Women's Beanpot Hall of Fame on Tuesday, Feb. 12, as announced Wednesday by Hockey East.
Lundrigan, Harvard's Liza Ryabkina Jordan '11, and Boston College's Molly Schaus '11 will be inducted into the Hall of Fame Class of 2019 prior to the Women's Beanpot championship game at Harvard's Bright-Landry Center.
A native of Melrose, Massachusetts, Lundrigan took part in 14 Beanpot tournaments, wearing the NU jersey for four years as a player (1989-93), before transitioning to the coaching realm in which she spent an additional 10 years behind the Northeastern bench as an assistant coach (2004-09; 2010-12), associate head coach (2012-14), and interim co-head coach (2009-10).
Lundrigan helped the Huskies capture two Beanpot titles as a player (1990, 1991) and two more behind the NU bench in 2012 and 2013.
Since graduating from Northeastern in 1994, Lundrigan has been dedicated to the growth and support of women's hockey and the Women's Beanpot.
Northeastern will be trying for a record 17th Women's Beanpot crown when the annual tournament begins on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Harvard University. The No. 3 Huskies will face No. 8 Boston University in the opening game at 5 p.m.
