BOSTON – Off to a 1-0 start to CAA play for the third consecutive season, the Northeastern women's basketball team will look to sweep the opening weekend of conference action at Cabot Center on Sunday, Jan. 6, when the Huskies host William & Mary. Sunday's game will air live on NESN with coverage beginning at 2 p.m.

NU HOLDS STEADY AT NO. 13 IN MID-MAJOR POLL
• Northeastern began CAA play ranked No. 13 in collegeinsider.com's Women's Mid-Major Top 25 poll, as last revealed on Jan. 2. The Huskies have been ranked in the poll during seven consecutive weeks, beginning on Nov. 20:

• NU has posted a 1-1 record against top 15 mid-major opponents this season. The Huskies – who were ranked No. 10 on Dec. 18 – experienced their first defeat of the 2018-19 campaign at No. 14 Marist (Dec. 18) before bouncing back to topple No. 15 Maine at Cabot Center (Dec. 22).
• At No. 13, Northeastern was the second highest CAA program to appear in the Jan. 2 poll behind No. 9 Drexel. With three ranked teams, the CAA was tied as the conference with the second most poll representation (Ivy League, West Coast), trailing the MAC and its four such programs.
• Northeastern's No. 25 ranking on Nov. 20 marked the program's first-ever poll placement under the leadership of fifth-year head coach Kelly Cole. NU last received votes in the Women's Mid-Major Top 25 poll on Nov. 26, 2013, despite being unranked.

ALL-TIME SERIES
• Northeastern enters Sunday's game against William & Mary in pursuit of leveling the all-time series at 11-11.
• The home team between the Huskies and the Tribe has won six of the last seven meetings. During the 2017-18 regular season, both programs sported 18-point victories on their home floor.
• Considering the series' all-time scoring, Northeastern trails William & Mary, 1,323-1,310 (-13). Of the 11 single-digit results that both programs share, seven have been decided by six points or less.
• Since the beginning of the 2015-16 season, the Huskies and the Tribe have finished adjacent to each other in the CAA year-end standings (excluding tiebreakers and tournament seeding).

DOUBLING UP THE TRIBE
• During six career games against William & Mary, senior forward Gabby Giacone has registered three double-doubles, including two during her 2015-16, freshman season.
• To date, Giacone has achieved 14 career double-doubles – three of which have been attained this season: at Dayton (17 points, 12 rebounds), at Providence (11 points, 11 rebounds) and at Marist (12 points, 13 rebounds).

DEFENDING HOME COURT
• Northeastern has started 7-0 at home for the third time since the 1978-79 season (2003-04, 2012-13).
• NU has won each of its first seven games at Cabot Center for the second time during program history (2012-13).
• The Huskies' current seven-game winning streak at Cabot Center is the program's longest in the facility since NU won 10 consecutive games between Feb. 16, 2012, and Jan. 10, 2013.

GENCO BREAKS NU CAREER 3-POINT RECORD
• Upon hitting the first of her two 3-pointers against Elon on Jan. 4, Jess Genco became Northeastern's exclusive record holder in 3-point field goals, breaking her tie at 245 with Melissa Kowalski (2000-04).
• Genco has monopolized the Huskies' quantifiable 3-point records, owning the program's single-game (nine), single-season (87), and career marks (247+).

2018-19 RECORD PERFORMANCES
• Northeastern's nine-game winning streak to begin the 2018-19 season is tied for the program's longest winning streak with that of its 1998-99 team.
• The Huskies' nine consecutive season-opening wins broke the program's previous record – seven – set by their 1968-69 team.
• Northeastern's 10 regular season wins before the turn of the calendar year equate to the program record.
• Jess Genco has become the first Northeastern women's basketball player to ever hit eight or more 3-pointers during a single game. Genco first broke the Huskies' single-game record on Nov. 28 at Florida (eight 3-pointers) and reset her program-best mark on Dec. 15 at Providence (nine).

UP NEXT
• Northeastern will depart on a two-game CAA road trip next weekend at Towson (Friday, Jan. 11, 7 p.m.) and James Madison (Sunday, Jan. 13, 2 p.m.).
