Giacone tacked on two more interior finishes at the start of the second quarter to push Northeastern's lead to 26-20, which the Huskies widened to as large as eight points before taking the 38-33 edge into the locker room.
Â
Bianca Boggs helped keep William & Mary close during the third quarter, where she scored 12 of her team high, 21 points, and shot three-for-three from the perimeter. Despite the Tribe trimming the Huskies' lead to 47-43 less than three minutes into the second half, Northeastern responded with the 11-3 scoring run to control a double-digit advantage midway through the period.
