BOSTON – The No. 10 Northeastern men's hockey team (4-1-1, 1-0-0 Hockey East) readies for a two-game series against Hockey East rival No. 3 Massachusetts (4-1-0, 0-1-0 Hockey East) this weekend, Nov. 1-2. The Huskies open the weekend on Friday at home at 7 p.m., before traveling to Amherst, Mass. to close out the series on Saturday at 8 p.m.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
It's Been a Minute(men) – Massachusetts returns to Matthews Arena this weekend to reignite the rivalry with the Huskies. The Minutemen head into the weekend with a 4-1-0 (0-1-0 HEAM) record, picking up wins over Rensselaer, Union and AIC. Leading the Minutemen, Mitchell Chafee and Zac Jones each have seven points across five games. In net, Matt Murray and Filip Lindberg have split time, with Murray seeing action in three games and Lindberg two. Last time out, Murray led UMass to a win over AIC, making 15 saves and allowing only one goal.

It's Madd-ness –
Tyler Madden is on a hot streak for the Huskies, posting goals in the last three contests. Madden scored his first multi-point game of the season on Oct. 19, when the sophomore tallied two goals against Holy Cross at home. The Deerfield Beach, Fla.-native continued his scoring success in St. Cloud, when he led the Huskies to a 4-1 win over the rival Huskies with a team-high two goals, before returning to the ice on Saturday to score his second power-play goal of the season.

Winner Winner, Rookie Dinner –
TJ Walsh earned his first honor as a Husky this week after being tabbed the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week by Hockey East. The forward registered his first collegiate point as well as his first multi-point game in Northeastern's 4-1 win over St. Cloud State last Friday, finishing with two assists on the night.

The Huskies continue their conference slate next weekend, Nov. 8-9, with a weekend series against Merrimack. Northeastern will open the weekend in Andover, Mass., before returning to home ice on Saturday. Puck drop for both contests is set for 7 p.m.
