RICHMOND, Va. –
Tyson Walker has been named CAA Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday. Walker, a native of Westbury, N.Y., earns the distinction for the second time this season.
In the 101-44 victory at Holy Cross last Tuesday night, Walker tallied 15 points and a career-best five assists in 20 minutes of action. He added three steals in the game as the Huskies set a new program record with the 57-point win. Walker made 6 of 10 shots from the floor.
Walker and the Huskies are playing in the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Fla., at Hertz Arena. The tournament runs from Nov. 25-27.
