BOSTON – Traveling to the heart of the Mitten State, the Northeastern women's basketball team will make a Thanksgiving-week pitstop at Central Michigan on Wednesday, Nov. 27, when the Huskies contest their inaugural series meeting against the Chippewas at McGuirk Arena. Wednesday's game will air live on ESPN3 with coverage beginning at 5 p.m.

1. Battle Tested:  Despite seeking its first win, Northeastern has already compiled a series of strong performances against quality opponents. As of Nov. 26, the Huskies have played the second toughest schedule (No. 80) among CAA programs behind Drexel (No. 19) and are one of only three teams in the conference to rank among the top 100 Division I programs in the category. Northeastern posted its second best offensive numbers during its most recent game against Yale, shooting 44 percent from the field and 35 percent from the perimeter. Defensively, the Huskies are averaging 9.0 steals per game and creating 19.4 turnovers per contest, but are yet to hold an opponent below the 70-point threshold.

2. Scouting the Chippewas:  Central Michigan won the 2018-19 MAC regular season championship and earned an at-large berth to the 2019 NCAA tournament, where the eighth-seeded Chippewas were knocked out of the first round by ninth-seeded Michigan State courtesy of a game-winning basket during the final 10 seconds of regulation. Northeastern's Thanksgiving eve visit to Mount Pleasant will mark its first appearance in the state of Michigan since December 2016, when the Huskies returned their home-and-home series with Michigan State at the Breslin Center.

3. Youth in Numbers:  Northeastern's underclassmen have contributed in a big way to the Huskies through the opening month of the season. With two seniors in its current rotation, Northeastern's underclassmen have accounted for 75 percent of the Huskies' total minutes and 80 percent of the team's offensive production. Sophomore Alexis Hill rides back-to-back, career-high scoring performances into Wednesday's tilt against Central Michigan, averaging the team best marks in points (14.6 per game), rebounds (5.0) and steals (3.0). Anna Boruta became the first member of Northeastern's freshman class to score double figures when she piled on 11 points against Yale, shooting three-for-five from downtown.

• Northeastern will return to Boston on Saturday, Nov. 30, when the Huskies will welcome North Dakota State to Cabot Center for a 1 p.m. matinee.
