DURHAM, N.H. – Jeremy Davies and Lincoln Griffin both scored twice and Cayden Primeau stopped 23 shots as the No. 12/13 Northeastern men's hockey team (21-9-1, 13-7-1) battled to a 6-0 victory and weekend sweep at New Hampshire (11-12-8, 7-9-5) on Saturday night at the Whittemore Center.

The win is Northeastern's 21st of the season, tied for the fifth most in single-season history, and gives the Huskies 13 wins in conference play for the seventh time in school history.

Davies finished the night with four points (two goals, two assists), becoming the first Husky defenseman since Dan McGillis (1994-95, 1995-96) with consecutive 30-point seasons. Primeau, meanwhile, moved into sole possession of third place on Northeastern's all-time shutouts list.

After an uneventful opening 30 minutes of the game, Northeastern finally broke through with 8:36 to go in the second period when Davies found the back of the net for the second time on the weekend and seventh time this season, scooping up a loose puck in the neutral zone before taking it the distance and tucking it home for the 1-0 Huskies lead.

Northeastern extended the lead to two less than four minutes into the third period when Griffin buried his sixth off the year, taking a long outlet pass from Ryan Shea before going in alone on Taylor and tossing a backhand past him for a 2-0 lead.

With the Huskies on the power play minutes later, Davies potted his second of the evening with a blistering wrister from the point through traffic off a feed from Liam Pecararo and Brandon Hawkins, giving Hawkins his 100th career point.

Griffin would add another insurance marker with less than 10 minutes left to play, chasing down a loose puck and beauty Taylor with another backhand five-hole to make it 4-0, and Zach Solow and Tyler Madden each added power play goals late in regulation to make it 6-0

Northeastern will be back in action next weekend for a home-and-home set with Boston College, beginning on Friday night at Conte Forum.
